Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Harold Reynolds on Matt Harvey: "People were wondering how he would pitch after coming back from Tommy John surgery. He's only 7-5, but he's pitched almost 100 innings and has alot of strikeouts. I think he has pitched pretty well since his return to the mound." How the f*** does this idiot have a job with one of the biggest sports networks in America? It's ridiculous how dumb he is.

Innings + strikeouts.....that's how part of this message board determines success.....is one of them Harrold Reynolds?

Praxis Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 and check out this guy's 4/75 BB/K ratio over three levels this year. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=605397#/career/R/pitching/2015/ALL Nice spot sir; another good pitching prosepct needlessly given away I wonder?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Twins win. All of the AL East outside of the Yankees are now out of the wild card, as the Angels are poised to win as well.

With Stroman returning and many young pitchers on the farm and on the MLB roster, no surprise. Still need a veteran for 2016, though..
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Well, Dickey looks like a replacement level starter so it definitely does not look like that option will get picked up. You can't even say "at least you can be sure he'll throw 200 useful innings" anymore. It's shaping up to be a pretty crazy market for pitching and will all the cash coming off the books, I'd definitely expect the Blue Jays to make a move. Someone like Mike Leake could fill the innings void and they may be in on the bigger $$ guys too. I wonder if someone like Kuma will be affordable after his lost season. Probably no interest in coming here, but has ace upside.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Former Jays' farmhand and all around cool guy David Rollins pitched out of the bullpen for Seattle, perfect appearance with a couple K's. He signed my hat and we talked a bit before his start when he played in Lansing. He's useful as a good long man out of the pen who can strike guys out a decent clip and doesn't wall many.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 How much and who are off the books next year?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 So many appealing FA SP options. It's time for this franchise to play the FA game and keep it's prospects. Hopefully, the new president understands this and lets his GM know that trading prospects for FA contracts is dumb when you can go out and overpay in FA while keeping the 'spects.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 If the Jays selll high on some of this players they could setup the franchise for the next 5 years. Trade Bautista Encarnacion Burly Delabar Cecil Cola Dickey Estrada Navarro trade them all.for young mlb ready pitchers Go and get 2-3 pitchers in return

The team's still in contention, as is most of the AL, and we're not in dire financial straits like the Rays. No need to be selling.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 You have to give a Lil to get something back too! We have more then enough offense! EE and Reyes to Seattle for Tiajaun And Carson Smith, throw in half Thier remaining salary this year and we save 8 mill too! Pay 7-8 mill for Reyes moving forward too if they throw in Paul fry and millar or Marte too! Take the 8 mill savings give it to Kc if they take Dickey and Thole for Wade Davis and we break even! We have a new starter, and Two bullpen arms. Presto change Oh! Call up Norris, send Cecil and Loup down to get fixed! Call up Two of either Boyd wolf or castro ! Plus we still have a Shanchez for the rotation or the pen when he gets back! Playoffs and Future intact and looking soo bright gotta wear shades! lol

No need to be selling. Right now is the time to rebuild the rotation What do we have going forward. Next year the rotation is Stroman coming back from injury Hutch (3rd or 4th starter at best) Sanchez Norris (assuming he doesn't fail.) Boyd That is bad That is 100 losses bad.

SaskJaysFan_2 Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 How much and who are off the books next year? I don't know for sure, but here's a guess: 1. Dickey, $10M 2. MB, $18M 3. Romero, $7.5M 4. Izturis, $3M 5. Thole, $1M 6. Navarro, $6M So, ~ $45M? Are Bill Caudil, Frank Thomas or BJ Ryan still under contract?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 a lot of money coming off the books will go to contract raises and arbitration and extensions aaaand north beat me

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Miami's lineup today: Gordon Yelich Hechavarria Bour Gillespie Dietrich Ozuna Mathis Latos That's bordering on unprofessional.
