o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Does anyone know where the Rays offense went? Indians pitchers have looked like Cy Young or Nolan Ryan all week.. "Rays offense" is a misnomer. like postal service, military intelligence, Bombay duck, Catgut, Two-toed sloths....

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Orioles tied now, Come on Rangers. Argh, I would hate to see the Orioles on top if only for a day.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Carrasco has a perfect game thru 5 vs. the Rays. Why does Derek Shelton still have a job in Tampa?? 3 times this week the Indians pitchers have taken a no hitter deep into the game.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 "Rays offense" is a misnomer. like postal service, military intelligence, Bombay duck, Catgut, Two-toed sloths.... Coming into today, the Rays were 14th in the MLB in team wRC+, and 11th in positional player WAR. This narrative that their offense sucks just because they lack big name players needs to stop.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Orioles will win. They're up two and will go O'Day and Britton.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Orioles leading 4-2. At least Texas took the first two. I wasn't even expecting that much help. Indians still leading 5-0. Yankees up 1-0. Angels need to start hitting.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Perfect thru 6 now for Carlos Carrasco..

This narrative that their offense sucks just because they lack big name players needs to stop. Yet they are 25th in MLB in runs scored and 21st in OPS
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Perfect game broken by Joey Butler's walk.. still have a no-no going though.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Yet they are 25th in MLB in runs scored and 21st in OPS And most of that WAR includes defense.. and right now, the Rays can't buy a run. And if they get swept vs. the Indians, their season will be pretty much over, as they will get pummeled by top-tier teams in the Yankees, Royals and Astros.. and they don't have the bats to fight back.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 carrasco giving north a hard on right now
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 O's move into first place by themselves. And here's a Preston Guilmet sighting in Tampa again...
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 You bet  Carrasco gonna start killing K/BB lol
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Carrasco so hot that he can't throw strikes anymore

This narrative that their offense sucks just because they lack big name players needs to stop. Tampa is seventh worst team striking out, 6th worst in hits per game and 5th worst team in runs/game. you can slice any way you want, they don't score runs. Amazing they have won so many games with more quality pitchers on the DL than most teams have in their org. it has nothing to do with player names. their offense sucks because they don't score
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Carrasco is going to need be up near 130 pitches at the end of this. Tough.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 And Joey Butler breaks up the no-hitter! Not going to matter.. Indians are going to win this anyway.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 still a wonderful start, his fastball was tremendous tonight
