Very likely due to rounding.

For example maybe he had .24 with the blue jays and .14 with the royals.

.38 would round to .4

Say his totals were 0.226 (rounded down to 0.2) and 0.126. (rounded down to 0.1). Add that up and you'd get 0.352. Round that up and you get 0.4

Prob just a rounding thing, i.e.:

0.24(=.2)+0.14(=0.1) = 0.38 (=.4)

Thanks.

As a programmer I'm pretty disappointed with myself. One of those days.

Ouch. They gave up a ton of other assets and payroll flexibility to get those four players too.

Wow - and Maybin is doing that with a negative on defense....what a find he's been so far.

Shelby Miller: 1.3 WAR

Jason Heyward: -0.3 WAR

Braves GM is smart. Padres GM is smrt.

Matt Kemp has always been a horrible outfielder but that bat... where did it go?

Lawrie vs. Trout - 2011

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2011/9/13/2423308/can-god-create-a-prospect-he-cant-get-out-brett-lawrie-vs-mike-trout

Apparently fans wanted Lawrie over Trout long term. dumn x 100?

Its not really absurd. Lawrie was destroying the ball back then.

Its no more different than if I were to ask you right now:

Who would you want? Kris Bryant, Joc Pederson or Joey Gallo?

Kris Bryant could turn into Travis Snider, Joc Pederson into Adam Dunn, and Gallo into 50-homer Davis.

And back then people were just as hyped about Montero as they were with Trout/Lawrie.

Do you want to lose Norris & Hoffman? Cause that's how you lose Norris & Hoffman.

I wouldn't give up Norris and Hoffman for a Cueto rental, and I doubt it would cost that much for 1/2 season of him.

Depends on the market. If there aren't many sellers then yeah he might be worth one or two top prospects.

It wouldn't unless AA is trying to get fired immediately. Should only cost Norris plus a few lower level prospects. Now if they threw in Chapman then it would cost a lot

The Jays shouldn't even contemplate trading the future for rental players until they've proven they can win with their own talent.

Mike Trout was Mickey Mantle 2.0 from draft day, it just took a while for the industry to come around on him because his amateur looks were so fragmented.

He hit .342/.425/.516 in the minors as the youngest player in his leagues. That's the same Mike Trout we know and love today.

Are you serious? The minors is one thing but you can't tell me you seen super stardom from him during draft time. Hyperbole at its best

Wow, Miley just screamed at Farrell.. I wonder if John tried to beat up Wade Miley like Gibbons once tried to do with Ted Lilly... what a dysfunctional clubhouse Boston is turning into. How much longer until someone writes "This ship is sinking" in Boston, just like Shea Hillenbrand did here in Toronto?

Like North said, underexposure. That's why you see these Northeast kids like Benintendi get hyped up to be the next Trout now, cause they're under-exposed OFs from the Northeast where they don't play year-round.

Obviously I didn't, but that's not the point. The baseball community whiffed on Mike Trout because they didn't have enough exposure to him and/or weren't evaluating his skills properly. His success story isn't one of player development and overcoming odds; Mike Trout has always had Hall of Fame tools but was underrated as a prospect.

Not sure if many people know this but the Yankees had him listed as the second best talent in the draft. obviously the Angels picked first though.

One thing to consider.. with Wright being used tonight, Boston's going to need a deep outing from Kelly tomorrow, and unfortunately, his splits vs. the Blue Jays aren't good.

And Cash blows another lead as Kyle Kubitza, the young 3B for the Angels, ties the game. Get some frigging length from your starters, Kevin! The Rays bullpen will be toast by the All-Star break.. look at the Yankees, whose overuse just got Miller hurt, and Betances is already at 29 appearances(32.1IP) and is going to burn out sooner or later.
