RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 "I voted for Brett Lawrie over Mike Trout by the way. I have seen both in person in the minors several times, and I love both of them. Both of them are Grade A prospects. But as much as I love Trout, I can't get that Lawrie performance I saw in Omaha back in May out of my mind. I think he's going to be better-than-fine with the glove, and while some growing pains are likely at some point, his bat is not a fluke. He has terrific bat speed, controls the strike zone reasonably well, and is underrated athlete. It's very close, but if I could pick one or the other, I think I would take Lawrie right now." -John Sickels, Circa 2011
LTR Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Rodney blown save.... Carson Smith cloZer alert Haha I hate that guy.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Does anyone think Jake Elmore is a flash in the pan? 4 RBI night for him with 2 hits.. but I feel it won't last. There's a reason why he's on his 7th club..
LTR Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Almost feel sorry for the Angels, their expectedly potent bats are dead weights for an otherwise good pitching staff.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 KGM dropped Kiermaier and Moya in a rebuild in the FC? I don't get it, man.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said Aaron Nola will be limited to around 170 innings this season. Amaro, 170 isn't a limited amount of innings!!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Meh. That wouldn't have been an uncommon stance after 2011. Yep, I remember they held a fangraphs poll between the two and many people chose Lawrie over Trout. It was way more than 2:1. Didn't they also debut in the same year? Trout's first year was meh while Lawrie hit something like .320. Lawrie still has that insane bat speed but he has such a long load on his swing that it pretty much negates it.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Sooo the Dodgers traded Juan Uribe, but July 11th is Juan Uribe bobblehead day. what happens now?!
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Sooo the Dodgers traded Juan Uribe, but July 11th is Juan Uribe bobblehead day. what happens now?! Maybe they're part of the trade.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Serves them right for having a Juan Uribe bobblehead.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Navarro is getting healthy. Where the f*** is the guy supppose to play lol. Hes going to catch a max of once a week. How long until he bitches and causes issues. Pitching to Thole has done nothing for Dickey. I'll take Navarro over Thole as at least a possible pinch hitter
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Sooo the Dodgers traded Juan Uribe, but July 11th is Juan Uribe bobblehead day. what happens now?! Ur guess is as good as mine.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Syndergaard pitching today, should be a good one.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Indians players and coaches have all shaved their head now in support of Mike Aviles, who's 4 year old daughter has leukemia.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I can't believe the Jays had Syndergaard. What a disaster trade. Ugh.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Lonnie Chisenhall having another one of those days. streakiest hitter in the game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Syndergaard batting .285 Mets second best hitter?? LOL
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Archer talked about how pumped he was to be facing King Felix...he's rolling right now.
