Was this a setback in his rehab, or didn't he make an appearance earlier this season? I swear I thought we faced the guy.

No, a setback and speculative UCL tear.

Same injury as Tanaka. Should just opt for the surgery.

They both should've, now baseball misses out another year and change of two great pitchers...derp!

An update: Cobb has a partially torn ligament:

Well that seems stupid for a young pitcher but what do i know.

Playing with dynamite at this point, just get the damn surgery and come back sooner.

Two dingers bring Mookie Betts into acceptable batting line territory.

How about Bartolo Colon? Spun another gem. So fun to watch!

lmao the Nationals are saying that Strasburg has an "alignment issue" under his shoulder and they are sending him to see a chiropractor.

Going to go out on a limb here and say that when your pitcher's shoulder is sore, you probably should send them for an MRI, not to a witch doctor.

I guess the "supposed solution" to Sanchez' control problems was to reduce his velocity:

Guess it didn't work.

Only Tyson Ross has more BB's allowed and he's pitched 9 more innings.

By the way, he says he has "no idea where his fastball will go" - how can you be a major league pitcher and not know this?

Does Bubba Starling still have a chance? .904 OPS between A+ and AA this year. 22 years old.

I really wanted the team to sign Colon last year. Love that guy.

I wonder why the Jays didn't trade for him. Reasonable salary on a one year deal and eats up innings. Mets were trying to dump him, if I recall. Missed opportunity.

Sure, just needs to carry that .600 BABIP from Wilmington with him for the rest of his career.
