It's kind of embarrassing if every catcher in baseball isn't trying to get better at this. To be honest, it's kind of embarrassing they haven't been trying to improve on this for the past 20 years. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to think that as a catcher, you should try and do whatever you can to frame better and/or give the ump a better view.

You're getting paid millions of dollars - I expect they'd be going the extra mile to get better at their jobs.

Every catcher in history thinks about / has thought about / has tried to get better at receiving.

There was an eery moment during the Baltimore game where the announcers stoped talking and invited everyone to listen. You could hear what I believe were the faint sounds the bullhorns of the protesters outside and that was about it for sound.

Playing a game without fans must be odd. Must be how the rays feel all the time at home.

How many times can everyone say the same joke lol

Changes already starting to happen in Boston. Layne up, JBJ optioned. In addition, Varvaro was DFAd, Dalier Hinojosa recalled.

Dalier had less than impressive numbers in Pawtucket with a 3.68 ERA, 9/4 K/BB ratio, and control issues. And he's not a prospect.. he's a 29 year Cuban signee who hasn't impressed much. But Boston desperately needs arms right now with such a torched pen..

Game in NY is still going.. 2-2 in the 13th, with the Yanks down to Esmil Rogers in the pen (doesn't this sound familiar from a few weeks ago?). Good thing for the off-day tomorrow.

Insert JP Arencibia joke here.

If this is true, then why are there still so many brutal receivers out there? Just a skill they can't teach themselves? I'm not sure I buy that seeing as Ianetta has shown drastic change/improvement in 1 season. Christ he just learned to set up and catch the ball with his ass to the right and now he's one of the best framers in the game. Are you saying he's been trying to make that minor change for 15 years and it just clicked in?

The Jays are apparently calling about Hamels.

Would they take Sanchez+? If so, plus what? Osuna? Osuna and Sanchez +?

For me, the only untouchable is Hoffman. Maybe Stroman. But I wouldn't trade the entire farm for Hamels.

How about Hamels and Papelbon for Osuna and Sanchez? Tres expensive, but we solve a couple issues right now and keep who I think are our best pitching prospects.

You pretty much have anyone on the table. Its a shame the Jays don't have OF depth cause I am sure Pillar has skyrocketed his value from what it was the start of the season and could sell high on him.

I wouldn't deal Stroman or Hoffman. Amaro is an idiot so I wonder if Pillar could be counted as a big piece.

I would not let AA make any significant roster moves

Sort of like freezing the bank account before the divorce

Sanchez, Castro and Amaro's centrepiece Pillar for Hamels, they eat $5 mill a year.

I would do it

I would do that

that's a lot of money

I'd consider it off the top of my head without taking an in depth look at it, yeah

problem with an idiot GM that over values your talent, he most likely over values what he's trading and makes a bad trade partner.

Yeah when I saw the original twitter pic I was very, very worried. Stroman seems like the kind of guy to overspeed.

I'm also worried that he may be too aggressive @ Duke with the girls and he'll be labeled a rapist :(

Holy f***, write a book brah, lol.
