Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I've always wondered, and now that Schilling brings it up, is there any rule that prevents a hitter from simply looking back at the catcher's signs?
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooookie!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I've always wondered, and now that Schilling brings it up, is there any rule that prevents a hitter from simply looking back at the catcher's signs? I'd imagine the pitcher would just step off, then the catcher would block the sign from the batter with their mitt, if it is allowed. That, and a fastball to the ribs.

I've seen it this season, I forgot which game, but the batter was looking into the catcher for a bit longer than a batter usually would and the catcher for the rest of the at bat would stare at the hitter and not put any sign down until he makes sure the batter isn't looking
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Buster Olney is a f***ing idiot.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Mickey Mantle had a .257 average in the playoffs, clearly his 112 career WAR can't surpass Mariano Rivera.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Lol the panel is even stupider
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Mickey Mantle had a .257 average in the playoffs, clearly his 112 career WAR can't surpass Mariano Rivera. Who the hell did Kruk even mention? I don't think I recognised that name lol
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Oh my god Buster Olney has to be there purely for comic relief at this point.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 If I remember right, he's kind of like Zaun. Great when he talks about actual game fundamentals, horrible if he talks about stats. Actually, he more reminds me of David Cone.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Who the hell did Kruk even mention? I don't think I recognised that name lol Whitey Ford, second in WAR all-time for Yankees' pitchers.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Whitey Ford, second in WAR all-time for Yankees' pitchers. Oh. I'll shut up now lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Even when these two teams talk s*** it's not out of hate. These two teams are supposed to hate each other, f*** someone whip a ball at someone. I don't know how Clay didn't drill A-Rod, this game is boring
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Cliff notes on what Buster Olney said?
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I take it back tanaka does not seem himself
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Cliff notes on what Buster Olney said? He picked Mariano over Mantle on the top 5 yankee list
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Creating rules as to what is and is not permissible during on field brawls is a fantastic idea. What could possibly go wrong? They have to suspend the manager and the entire bullpen and bench for 25 games. It's the only way to bring order to this rowdy sport that is being overrun by toxic delinquents like Mike Trout.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Boogers has looked decent for Boston early on. Guy was as good of a prospect as Mookie before his garbage 2014. Red Sox have just an embarrassment of riches on that side of the ball. I still can't understand signing Hanley AND Pablo. Should have just signed one of them, used the other money on a starter.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Yankees falling apart in the 4th. still hurts that we gave them a game.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Yankees falling apart in the 4th. still hurts that we gave them a game. We should be 5 and 1, sucks
