The way the Giants game is going, they're likely going to go all night.. nobody wants to score! Especially with the strong bullpens on both teams.

Kemp will be the difference maker, almost was last half inning

1-3

Still funny though. Team was recklessly assembled, and isn't very good.

Reckless yeah, but they might have a decent team, especially compared to the garbage they were trotting out last year. I have them pegged around the mid 80s, because Arizona/Col look extremely bad once again. De La Rosa was starting the second game for Arizona FFS!

I see a 0.500 team. No 1B, SS, 2B, or 3B, awful OF defense, Myers might suck etc... The foundation wasn't there to warrant doing what they did.

The same thing was said about the Cleveland Cavaliers more than a few games into the season. Give it time.

I don't really follow basketball, but didn't the Cavs actually project to be a very good team?

They had a top 3 player, a top 10 PG and a top 5 PF, in a 5-player sport; yeah they were projected to be good.

I'm surprised no one started a jpa has been released thread

I wonder if the Diamondback will sign him just to give themselves another excuse to not trade for Navarro. JPA basically has the Tuffy Gosewisch skill set but with more veteran presents.

SD has to be one of the the most over rated teams of recent memory by baseball analysts. Everyone has been pumping Prellers tires all off season, I didn't really like their moves.

They will finish below .500. Been saying it all winter since they made the moves.

Enjoy Melvin Upton, SD.

The flurry of moves they made was impressive, but the wow-factor has yet to wear off for a lot of commenters. They put themselves in contention to be a competitive team - that's it, as far as I'm concerned.

Derek Norris on Pagan "he threw a piece of gum at me that.. had been chewed. That didn't sit too well w/me. He was being kind of a d#ckhead"

Posted
Did I miss a west coast throwdown or something? I'd prefer not to see Pagan's hair ruined, regardless of the chew status of the gum in question.

Nah it was a normal game and Pagan threw away his gum. He directed it away from Norris but the gum stuck to his glove and ended up going underneath him. All a misunderstanding.

Steve Geltz, who has never started a game in his professional career (all the way back to 2008 in R ball), will be starting tomorrow for the Rays.

9 batters max?
