The worry for me easily is his K/9. I don't trust starters who don't strike guys out a lot with a big contract. That's just me though

Plus, I'd be concerned about his 9.0+ H/9IP. Especially if some of those hits get hit onto the Green Monster. I wasn't pleased with the deal either.

Shocker!

His production profile is favourable and clearly sustainable. Your trust in specific parts of the profile is immaterial.

I want Ks out of my starter dammit!!!! :P

Rasmus with a solid hit to right! He's 1/2 with a walk... runners on the corners for Handsome Jake! Someone call Boxy!

Boxy has moved on from Handsome Jake. He's all about Jesse Winker, Greg Bird and Robert Refsnyder now.

Porcello is 26. Buehrle got 4/58 at 32 a few years ago if you want to talk low strikeout pitchers. I just don't like Porcello. I'm never impressed when I watch him pitch. Part of that is probably because of the lack of strikeouts, but nothing about the way he works jumps out to me as a guy I want to give over 20 million a year to. You can see how it's a passable deal because of his age/injury history, but I'm also skeptical fatcow!

It's remarkable how Gregerson is able to throw above 90 mph. Seems like his delivery causes a lot of stress on the pitching arm.

Yeah, something about him doesn't jump out at me at tells me he's worth 82.5M. Like the rest showed, his stats do say something about him, but I just got a bad feeling about this contract.

Regardless I think they could have negotiated the price down I think

BTS insufferable during a Keuchel start, North defending his assets...I see this neck of the woods hasn't changed!

You're just upset that my bearded alpha out-dueled your little kluber.

I peeped that! I miss Hendo :(

Sorry, no offense meant. Looking forward to seeing Lawrie play for Oakland tonight and pencilling in April 9th to watch Graveman in his first start!

Texas' new manager is hitting Martin first and Andrus 2nd with Choodown in 5th...

Did you see the Royals lineup tonight?

I'm excited to see what Graveman can do. Former Jays prospects looking to do big things this year. DeSclafani is in the Reds rotation (I think?). David Rollins looked to be in the Mariners pen before he got smacked with an 80 game PED suspension.. Woj probably won't be a starter once Oberholtzer comes back from injury, although he should stick with the team as a long reliever.

+ more of course

Looks like DeSclafani is third(!) on the Reds depth chart according to MLB. Nice spot - I'll have to look out on the 9th again.

Holy Crap: DeSclafani at 12:35pm, Woj. at 2:10 pm, Graveman at 3:35pm and Norris at 7:05pm. Crazy.
