In the last two years, we have lost:

 

Rajai Davis

Adam Lind

Colby Rasmus

JP Arencibia

Brett Lawrie

 

Team IQ must have doubled. Those were some of the dumbest players that have ever played the game.

Actually, I'm not sure about Lind. I could never tell if he was really dumb or really smart and just trolling everyone.

Actually, I'm not sure about Lind. I could never tell if he was really dumb or really smart and just trolling everyone.

 

Say what you wanna say about how dumb a guy is outside baseball(or in it for that matter) but Rasmus has a very high Baseball IQ in my opinion. "plays the game the right way"

I think Lind was just blunt. He had no filter. It points to him being neither dumb or smart, just his personality.

Morrow and Janssen were pretty smart guys. Are there any smarties left on the team? I guess Dickey wrote a book / is kind of aloof and stuff.

 

Bautista seems pretty smart.

 

Donaldson is very smart and well studied about hitting.

 

Nobody else on the team strikes me as particularly dumb or smart. Stroman might be more intelligent than most but hard to say.

His work ethic also made him seem kinda dumb... not to mention his wife is fugly.

Honestly think Bautista is the smartest guy on the team, I think his brain is a big reason he's turned into such talented player... despite some of the bonehead moves he's made on the basepaths. Dickey seems very intelligent too.

Sometimes it's more what you don't say. Colby doesn't really say anything very intelligent, makes him seem pretty simple-minded.

It's possible but lets be real. Even a baby can learn to speak 2 languages.

Yeah, my wife speaks 3 but it's easy when you learn all three in school when you're really young.

 

I'm into the rOsetta Stone for French right now, it's pretty good

If I'm not mistaken she comes from a country that has 122 major languages...knowing 3 seems less impressive.

Agree. Bautista gets it. The game situations. What he needs to do and what his teammates need to do/can do. Could make a good bench coach/assistant manager some day.

Most importantly, Gibby and his drawl are much smarter than President Farrell.

 

Agree, and that's a great example. Farrell always sounded so smart in interviews, always polished and saying the "right" things. But he's not a good manager. Gibby is tons better IMHO even though he looks/sounds like a hick.
