I really don't think he does. He hasn't shown the ability to do so above AA. And we have enough SLG on this team, I am more than okay with an OBP focused 2B...

 

We all love Goins' glove at 2B, but he's got to contribute something with the bat to earn a starting role, and he has simply not shown that he can do that.

Last year league OBP and SLG were .314 and .386 respectively. But adjusted for the league and park those numbers should be higher for a Goins calculation.

He is. I think Infante has two years left at $10mil per. The Royals are listening to offers for him and i think Infante will get back to his old numbers with a scenery change and a hitter friendly park. The Hispanic angle could help also. Not a horrible DH replacement while saving $5 mil a season.
