Lol. I hate the winters here. Even though I'm Jamaican background and born here I still never get used to it.

bundle up + get a real winter coat

everything is fine after that

Probably didn't want to pitch here

AA has said they have no offers out. By the time he figures out what the market is for relievers the best will be off the board

I'd really hate for AA to make all these great moves but end up with a s***** bullpen.

Detroit 2014 all over again

Minus Price, Scherzer, Verlander, A.Sanchez, and Porcello

Why do you assume he hasn't figured out the market? AA has always had a good sense of the market which is why he has always preferred to go the trade route. Not investing big money into RP is the right way to go.

Detroit 2014 all over again

Detroit acquired Nathan and Soria who looked awesome the moment before being acquired.

IF AA got 2 relievers that looked as good as Nathan (circa Winter meetings 2013) and Soria (late July 2014)

This board would say:

AA the genius has acquired awesome relievers who are shutdown and the world series is now ours.

Detroit did exactly what the "we need a shut down closer" folks are telling AA to do.

Detroit got proven "shutdown" relievers.

The proven shutdown relievers imploded after acquisition.

But the people on this board don't see that.

The people cannot think. Cannot read. Cannot digest information. The human race is doomed in my opinion because 57% don't participate in the thinking process... not that they are dumb. They just choose not to think.

If he doesn't drop major $ into some of the bullpen guys (depending on what kind of contracts are left out there for a guy like Romo) I wonder where AA can reposition his funds? Maybe an upgrade on another position?

I'm also fearing this. He didn't do anything last winter meetings and he seems to be doing nothing again.

Hope he gives his head a shake and starts ninjaing while some decent rp are still available. Not having any offers out there might be an indication that he's now on a short leash budget wise.

Well what more were they supposed to do? They had great SP and needed to improve their pen and went out and picked up two great RP's that didn't work out...so you are saying, based on this, teams should give up trying to acquire RP?

Remember how in early 2014 we still had no clue on how to approach with Stroman? Starting or relieving? well not it's absurd to consider having Stroman as a reliever.

I think that's what we're going to do with Sanchez. Let's see what he can do as a starter. For all we know he could be a dominating SP and we would all look back and think it was foolish to keep him in the BP.

If Aaron Sanchez could start and close the same games we'd dominate.

Use him as a reliever on his side-session days. Bingo!

Can't remember where I read this but internally a lot of the Jays brain trust feel Sanchez is better off in the Bull pen . A starter just gives them so many more options.
