Alfredo Simon (allegedly) killed somebody on New Years Eve a few years ago in the Dominican Republic. He was also sued earlier this year on rape allegations. He's just a bad dude.

 

 

Kendrys Morales is probably not even as good as Justin Smoak. The Royals are making a big mistake.

He still posted a 1.5 WAR last season with 100 IP though. Would still be a solid #3 start with potential to move up no? Or would the concerns of his decrease VELO be that bad that we'd worry he may Romero on us?

Masterson is always a tough matchup for the Jays it seems and with such a RH heavy lineup he will be a pretty good matchup vs us. Red Sox getting some pretty good GB pitchers for the HR happy AL East.

Butler was scheduled to make 12.5mil this year, so its still a $4mil savings for the Royals. That said, Dayton Moore said on MLB Network that in hindsight, seeing where the market has gone he may have picked up the Butler option.

The good news for us is that with Martin, Donaldson and even Saunders onboard to go with Bautista and EE. We can now just patiently wait out walks against guys like Masterson and win by default that way rather then rely on the HR's.
