Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I definitely would not mind Ryan. He's respected and not an idiot.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Lol @ Orioles fans still seriously talking about the man in white t-shirt sign stealing BS Orioles Hangout is ridiculous. They have a pathological hatred for the Jays that's amusing but also a little scary.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Also, apparently never wear socks... His office smells worse than that Baltimore Janitor locked into a 5 year contract The real question is, how could Beest show up drunk to so many functions over the past few years, but now him supporting Reinsdorf with the new Commish is their breaking point. I'd love to know what he said or did this time.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I welcome the new O's board signups.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 The Toronto Blue Jays have played dirty on and off the field for a long time and they STILL haven't been able to be anything more than mediocre for a long time. It's quite pathetic really. You guys remember when the Orioles were a lock for 90 losses every season for 15 years? It was so long ago.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Orioles Hangout is ridiculous. They have a pathological hatred for the Jays that's amusing but also a little scary. Yeah I have a hard time understanding their hate for the Toronto Blue Jays. Such a weird team to hate from an Orioles perspective. The Jays haven't made the playoffs in 20 years, they've never ripped off the O's in trade, they've never signed away a big ticket O's free agent, and I don't remember any major on-field issues between the two teams (like Machado/Donaldson). I don't think I've ever seen a Jays fan that ranted about how they genuinely hate the Orioles. Not sure I really get it. Maybe it's that streak of games where the Jays destroyed them for a bit, a few years ago? Maybe I'm misremembering, but I think the Jays beat them handedly for a stretch of a few seasons. Long-term resentment about that? Can't think of any other reason.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Since 2000 (incl) Jays: 1201 W Orioles: 1107 W Sounds like the right fan base to be mocking another team's lack of success
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 "The rule is if they're interested in our GM, they have no right to speak with him or make any attempt to induce him into taking any position," Angelos said today in a phone interview. "They would have to contact us and ask if we're willing to relinquish him. We're not relinquishing him, period. He's signed for four more years and we're delighted by the team's performance. We intend for him to remain for the next four years. We're satisfied with him, obviously." "As far as the Orioles are concerned, he's our GM and we expect him to remain for the four years remaining on his contract. And very likely for additional years once that contract has expired." Anyone else feel like he's very unsubtly coming off as a scorned and desperate girlfriend?

They're still mad at Cito for that ******** at the allstar game in 1993 when Mike Mussina started warming up (according to him, Cito asked him to, according to Cito, Mussina just started throwing in the pen of his own accord) but he was never put into the game. Also, I'm pretty shocked that we haven't gotten an O's fan from that board posting in this thread at all... Troll or otherwise.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Anyone else would prefer that they were parting ways with Beeston because they want a forward-thinking organization instead of it being for having supported the wrong candidate for commissioner? Maybe the reports are wrong though, who knows.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 "If she's interested in him, she has no right to speak with him or make any attempt of approaching him in any way", Angelos said today, holding back tears. BTS Community Moderator Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Cito actually refused to play Mussina in an all-star game in Baltimore? f*** that guy is a POS.

At an all star game. Said Cito: By standing up, he (Mussina) showed me he's a person with little class. Screw him. I just won't take him next year
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 well im gonna get all up in thurr so maybe we can do a mini invasion? I think I tried signing up to their board a while back. Isn't it one of those forums that don't let you post till moderators activate your account? I could be thinking of a Sox board.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Cito actually refused to play Mussina in an all-star game in Baltimore? f*** that guy is a POS. Cito's side of the story was that the O's didn't want him to pitch, since he'd pitched like the day before or something... It's a real "he said, she said" situation...

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Yeah we all hate Cito. Not sure why the Orioles posters are so angry at the Jays. A manager does something to piss you off in 1993 = totally justifiable seething hatred for his franchise 22 years later, long after that guy is gone. I think O's fans are just moronic *******s in general. I remember the first time they made the playoffs a few years back, all of the O's fans on the baseball sites I posted on were instantaneously more obnoxious than any Yankees fans I'd ever seen. I think most of these guys are probably people who freshly jumped onto the O's bandwagon a few years ago, and are just stuck in that extremely bitter limbo, where the team wins enough that you don't want to jump off the bandwagon, but doesn't win enough to grab a championship. I'm sure if the Jays make it to the playoffs, Toronto boards will be full of these retards eventually too. If anyone's looked at RealGM during some of the Raptors games lately, they'll know what I mean.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Well, I got an infraction lol Please read the terms of service and write me before you attempt to post again. Thanks! That board is tough. I'm going to make everyone TOS and then write me before attempting to post again.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 We already get these retards here, we just cull them fairly quickly... Yes but fortunately, they don't make up 98% of the fan base, like O's fans do. Red Sox and Yankee fans have always been obnoxious, but they don't seem like the bitter emotional ****s that O's fans do.

I'm going to make everyone TOS and then write me before attempting to post again. i may have gotten it for lack of grammar or punctuation, which sucks since im usually a stickler. too bad i only have use of one hand, i should sue for discrimination. you have to pay to post there. pretty unbelievable. funny thing is, i dont even have permission to write him lol.
