They won't let any of us join, yet Weams was encouraging them to come post here, pathetic really.

Pretty sure they're basically banning every non-paid account right now. I wanted to test if they were and based my IP out of Georgia and still didn't get in lol.

At least this is all setting up for a very enticing rivalry.

hell yeah ... we've got the Stroman thing ... plus the Machado/Donaldson thing ... and now the DD thing ... gonna be some fun Jays-Os series this year ...

already planning on travelling down to Baltimore for the 4-gamer in late Sept/early Oct.

Oh well I am out of here. We both should be happy. You didn't have to give up your beloved prospect in Hoffman and we didn't have to give up DD. Works out for both sides.

Except for the fact that your GM doesn't want to be in that s***** town. Enjoy

Because you are sick of being a loser. And if you don't give us what we think he is worth you don't get him.

You would know all about losing? When was the last time the f***ing Orioles won the World Series? Or are you too busy enjoying being mopped up by the Royals in the ALCS

"I don't see how you can be negotiating for compensation, be asking for an exorbitant return, not get it and then file tampering charges.

Seems like something you would have had to do before started talking to the BJ's about any type of compensation. If anything, couldn't the BJ's say that the O's weren't negotiating in good faith? No team in MLB would have done that deal. Those three players (if true) are a completely absurd return to expect for a non-player."

Comment from O's board. Someone that actually gets it? Say it ain't so.

Regardless how dumb Rogers came out looking in this mess, I'm actually impressed AA held to his guns in the negotiations in not trading Hoffman. So, Rogers goes down in my books, and AA goes up in points. I was actually worried they were going to trade hoffman for DD. It's one thing if this was one of the top guys in the game, but it's friggin Dan Duquette, lol ..

Would you guys do Hoffman, Pentecost and Nay for Hamels? That seems like a package Amaro would ask for, probably plus another top player, like Travis.

I personally wouldn't. I'm very, very high on Hoffman.

Hamels is very expensive, i doubt they get much unless they pay some of his money.

I wonder who Dan Duquette will be cheering for?

O's for sure.

If Blue Jays lose, more reasons to hire him.

If O's lose, his stock goes down and nobody wants him. He would love to get a promotion now when his stock is high rather than risk the chance of his stock going down which means he's stuck with PA for 4 more years.

Jays come out looking dysfunctional in their CEO/President transition. This should blow over for them in about a month and may rear its ugly head once or twice more when it comes time to replace Beeston.

Orioles come out looking like an organization that is firm and protective of its assets, yet inflexible and undesirable for anyone looking to advance their career. The demands for DD were always made in poor faith (Hoffman++? Really?), and their ability to block an exec from a promotion will permeate through the MLB. Suddenly the claims that O's jobs aren't desirable hold a ton more water.

I don't like how the Jays went about this as a Jays fan; but as an O's fan, I'm not too happy about what has happened either.

The simple solution from an O's perspective would of been to restructure the org so that Dan's title is lateral to the Jays one, thus making any poaching unfair and keeping the egg on Toronto's face. Oh well.

That was actually a pretty reasonable response to a joke post.

That looks to me like a poster that's about to be banned from Orioles Hangout...

No doubt about that. Those old fat mods will get him.

All the winning sure suck for us. Plus we don't live in an area no one would ever visit willingly.

first you say you wouldn't live in an area no one would ever visit willingly........then 45 min later you post this........

What are you going on about? Do you have inferiority complex or something? I have been to Montreal, Quebec City, and Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Nothing against Canada here. I would like to visit Vancouver one day as well and maybe Newfoundland.

Make up your mind

It's good thing Jays ended talk with O's for DD.

O's wanted Hoffman, Pentecost, and Nay fo DD !! f*** them!!!

Why O's didn't ask for Stroman, Hutchison, Norris as well as Hoffman was a myth for me!?
