glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Not at all. For someone like Hamels it would be reasonable and teams are balking at paying that price for him now. I don't mean reasonable as in good. I mean reasonable as in they overpaid in prospects for a player they expected to contribute at a significantly high level on the field. Compared to trade for an executive, it's apples and oranges. Duquette has no impact on the field at all.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Again I ask can DD just not just up and quit! Take this job n shove it Angelos! And then just take the job in Toronto? Really what's stopping him from doing so if he really wants the job?
SAAviour Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Yes I do. I'm assuming most Canadian baseball fans outside of Toronto are Blue Jays fans, and would make the trip to Toronto to see the team play. Sorry lads for being a s***** fan, I live over 2700 miles from the skydome and haven't been to a game in a quite a few years. Maybe I'll stop by when the O's are in town next.
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Search "Ken Rosenthal Orioles" on google. You'll get nothing but tons of editorials bashing the O's. Its what he does. I never found anything of the kind when I searched what you said. Sorry, you lose

Assume the Os would file tampering charges in that case but that really isn't different than Joe Madden is it?

Really what's stopping him from doing so if he really wants the job? He's under contract for 4 more years. If he quits, he can't just go take another job. The other team has to give compensation to acquire him.

Really what's stopping him from doing so if he really wants the job? Of course he can quit. But if he quits he is subject to being sued by the club for damages and certainly won't be able to take a job in major league sports.

Do they want Beeston or not? Make a decision. I read Beeston’s contract expired at the end of October. He was in Phoenix last week at the owners meeting ... I’m no labour lawyer, but would that not be an implied contract from the club?”
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Set her up with BBBB? Nope it looks like a closet Raptor fan all yours! You two should be happy " Docking" together! Lol

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Nope it looks like a closet Raptor fan all yours! You two should be happy " Docking" together! Lol Hey BBBB, you should make some trade proposals around what you think the Jays should give up for Dan Duquette. For the first time, I think many of us would welcome it. Heh, you're reaching now, I can't wait to get out of my Igloo, and get back to my summer home in the T-Dot, amirite? There's no such thing as summer in Toronto.

Seems that NL GM is as sharp as you, meat!
