LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Why would we be fuming? Either we keep DD or we get a top prospect. I'm happy either way. you would want to keep a GM who doesn't want to be there and who has done nothing for you all offseason? Yikes
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Yes I do. I'm assuming most Canadian baseball fans outside of Toronto are Blue Jays fans, and would make the trip to Toronto to see the team play. Do you pronounce your name in the traditional manner of "tess-ti-culls" or are you like the Greek god of scrotums, and pronounce your name like Pericles, Hercules, etc? This carries significance in how I will judge you, so please answer truthfully.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wait, these hoffman for DD rumours are potentially true?? No. Anyone with any ties to the Jays that has actually spoken up on it has only done so to openly s*** on the idea.
IBleedOrange Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Again, not a word from Rosenthal yet. It's columnists from Toronto and Baltimore regurgitating Buster freakin' Olney's speculation. If Hoffman (or any top prospect for that matter) is traded for DD, then I'm not making the trek down to Toronto to see them Opening Night like I planned to. They don't deserve any money if they do something that stupid. Rosenthal has always had an agenda against the Orioles ever since he was run out of Baltimores media, so he obviously wouldn't be reporting anything positive for Baltimore.
Testicles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 you would want to keep a GM who doesn't want to be there and who has done nothing for you all offseason? Yikes He didn't do anything for us last offseason either until signing Cruz and Jimenez in Feb. His specialty is finding under the radar players. I think DD has enough integrity to continue doing his job well if all of this blows over.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wait, these hoffman for DD rumours are potentially true?? Latest rumor is Hoffman and Josh Donaldson. Says this is going to end soon and they just crossing the "t's" and dotting the 'i's.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 lmfao, O's fans have to be fuming about this whole thing. Regardless of what happens, they have to live with the fact that Duq clearly wants nothing to do with them. It's like that clingy freak that'll do anything to hang on for dear life, and when the person finally breaks down and submits, they'll still be upset knowing the person wanted out. Duquette: Alright, we couldn't work out a deal, I'm staying. I'm still here. O's fans: "BUT YOU DON'T LOVE US ANYMORE! WHY DON'T YOU LOVE US? LOVE US! LOVE US! WHY DON'T YOU LOVE US?" O's fans http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XttkWFpERKo/UBUuvcj9QMI/AAAAAAAAB84/s4t1T8Yfs2I/s1600/gollum.gif

Why wouldn't Rosenthal report it if he heard it from a reliable source? He's the most credible baseball reporter out there. If he heard what Buster Olney seems to think is reality, then surely he would have said something whether he hated the Orioles or not.
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Rosenthal has always had an agenda against the Orioles ever since he was run out of Baltimores media, so he obviously wouldn't be reporting anything positive for Baltimore. Yeah we heard all about how much the whole world hates the Baltimore Orioles. The pity party is getting old.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 O's fans http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XttkWFpERKo/UBUuvcj9QMI/AAAAAAAAB84/s4t1T8Yfs2I/s1600/gollum.gif I wouldn't want that guy to be my friend.
IBleedOrange Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Yeah we heard all about how much the whole world hates the Baltimore Orioles. The pity party is getting old. Search "Ken Rosenthal Orioles" on google. You'll get nothing but tons of editorials bashing the O's. Its what he does.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Latest rumor is Hoffman and Josh Donaldson. Says this is going to end soon and they just crossing the "t's" and dotting the 'i's.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I wouldn't want that guy to be my friend. Why? He's an O's fan.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Latest rumor is Hoffman and Josh Donaldson. Says this is going to end soon and they just crossing the "t's" and dotting the 'i's. Don't you mean Hoffman, Donaldson and Bautista?
Testicles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Can't we all just agree to hate the Red Sox and Yankees?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 You talked a lot of s***!! http://gamereax.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/bauodaychirp.gif
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Don't you mean Hoffman, Donaldson and Bautista? Well if you threw in Bautista we could throw in Jiminez. To offset some of Bautista's salary while giving you some much needed pitching.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Don't you mean Hoffman, Donaldson and Bautista? Haven't you heard? Bautista's nipples leak of steroids, and Donaldson is a terrible, immoral child beater who hates Christmas. They would both immediately regress into utter garbage after being traded, because they'd no longer be benefiting from Blue Jays sign stealing. They're below Oriole standards. Maybe if the Jays signed Everth Cabrera and included him in the deal...
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Davidi on Sportsnet, saying doesn't believe Hoffman is going, doesn't make sense
flafson Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I honestly don't understand why pay for executive that the O's don't even want. They should pay us to take him.
itaos Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Reminds me of the Dickey trade where I was reading the potential names involved and thought it couldn't possibly be true
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Davidi on Sportsnet, saying doesn't believe Hoffman is going, doesn't make sense Ed Rogers is negotiating, no AA
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The latest is stroman Bautista and AA's first born are going
flafson Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Reminds me of the Dickey trade where I was reading the potential names involved and thought it couldn't possibly be true Dickey trade made some sense, there is 0 sense in this "trade" if true.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Why do people keep bringing up Dickey? He was the reigning Cy Young winner and someone the team expected to help them on the field. It was perfectly realistic for AA (or anyone) to give up top prospects for him. Trading a similar package for an executive would be unheard of, and probably the dumbest thing any sports franchise has ever done when you combine it with the tampering. There is no comparison. Syndergaard and TDA for Dickey was a perfectly reasonable overpay. Stupid move, maybe, but reasonable in that they were getting someone expected to add wins. Duquette is a completely different animal.
Testicles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Huhuhu, jus look at them dam cuhnadiens, bet they all shave with axes huhuhu, typical cuhnadien savagees, do he use a screw draver as a tewth brush? huhuhuhu, wear's his hoarse? huhu, is them stuff on he's neck maple surrup? huhuhuhuhu freedomhuhuhu oil huhuhu guns huhuhuhuhuhuhu This doesn't make sense. Maryland is the wealthiest state in the USA and one of the most highly educated. If the Orioles played in West Virginia or Mississippi then you would have a strong point.
itaos Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Syndergaard and TDA for Dickey was a perfectly reasonable overpay. Not at all. For someone like Hamels it would be reasonable and teams are balking at paying that price for him now.
Testicles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The latest is stroman Bautista and AA's first born are going Also, Canada has to take back the Nationals.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Not at all. For someone like Hamels it would be reasonable. Synder and TDA for Hamels right now would be pretty gross.
