jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Jays signed CF Ezequiel Carrera to a minors contract, for Buffalo depth:
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Or as he was known in a confusing tweet from a few weeks ago "Anthony Gose: Fancy Name Edition"
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Considering its a minor league deal its a good depth signing.
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 This is an excellent, excellent minor league signing. Carrera is a perfectly viable CF backup defensively, he's got plus speed, and he's actually shown some decent hitting ability in the minors. If Pompey flops, a Pillar/Carrera platoon in CF probably doesn't sink the team.

Laika Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 lol, Sports Science is so dumb. I like the part where they told us how long his arm is.

Laika Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I was insulting Sport Science, not Min Science. I'd assume that Min Science would be much more cleverer. They'd probably only make videos every 11 months though.

Governator Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He landed on the ground at 1000lbs of force? lol ok
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He landed on the ground at 1000lbs of force? lol ok Doesn't seem outlandish for a 185 lb man that was running ~16 mph. I didn't even take Physics in high school though, ha. I mean if you simply dropped him from a meter or two, the force of impact would probably be over 1000 pounds....

Well same here but I vaguely remember for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Moogy should be here to put me in my place.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 1. Trade Anthony Gose for Devon Travis 2. Sign Anthony Gose v2.0 3. lol

GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Realistically, we got Devon Travis for almost free. Adding like potentially 1.5-2 wins for such a low cost is exactly what I didn't think AA could do, but wow.
