LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Damn that's a f***ing good lineup next year and lol at their depth, but geez, their starting defense is gonna be pretty s***, outside of Sandoval, Pedroia and maybe Betts. Wut
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 So Bogaerts is going to be traded then?
Iggy Verified Member Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 So Bogaerts is going to be traded then? Why? I think Boston's plan is to have Bogaerts play s/s, Sandoval at 3rd and Ramirez in the o/f, probably L/F
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I hope we sign Chase Headley I'm leaning more towards Adrubal Cabrera at this point. Lawrie to 3rd. Headley endurance on the turf has to be a concern.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 So Bogaerts is going to be traded then? I think it's more likely that Betts goes for a starter at this point
LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Damn, Steamer really likes Sandoval in Fenway, his projected WAR went from 3.0 to 3.6. Theoretically, WAR should be the same in any park or league, but there are parks that allow certain types of players to benefit much more than other types of hitters. Fenway is probably the most extreme example. Damnit
Cobean Verified Member Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I think it's more likely that Betts goes for a starter at this point It sounds like Betts is about as close to untouchable as it gets. If the Lester rumors are true (He returns to Boston by early next week) then they can afford to be patient and center a deal around Cespedes and other prospects.

Cespedes isn't going anywhere according to Cherington. Say goodbye to Betts..
