Hey guys,i missed the game tonight. How were Pompey's hits? Hitting LH or RH? Line drives?

Two infield singles, which showcased his speed well. One was a groundball up the middle, the other a soft tapper in front of the catcher, he was hustling all the way, showed plus speed, 65-70 grade I would say.

Edit: forgot to mention, as BBB said he made an outstanding catch in CF where he had to cover a great deal of ground, Anthony Gose-esque.

Just saw the highlights of tonites game!

That Pompey catch was pretty WoW!

can Pompey pass Gose on the depth chart? switch hitter with some pop and CF wheels... how does his arm rate?

His arm is average, Gose has a much better arm. His range is pretty similar though and combined with a what looks to be a plus switch hitting bat, he'll be our starting CF. Let's not forget he's a good base stealer also (30-40).

Just caught up with the game vids.

LOL @ Gibbons challenging the Tolleson grounder in the 8th while up by 11 after an incredible play by Seattle's SS.

Yes he could definitely pass Gose, but only if his bat comes around. He needs to play a season in AAA first.

Gose "stupid" factor is a clear 6. can't stand his complete lack of knowledge about what he should be able to do and what he CAN'T do. After the team got rid of Sierra Gose has the best Stupid tool on the team. that's sad with guys like Lind, Rasmus and Navarro on the team

Gose doesn't seem very coachable. Most teams wanted to make him a pitcher and he insisted he wouldn't sign with a team unless he was an OF and his development as a position player has been a mess. He strikes out too much, he doesn't steal effectively despite blazing speed and he generally seems to phone it in when he's in AAA. I wonder if the fast-tracking of Pompey reflects internal frustrations with all of Colby, Pillar and Gose. It's certainly been aggresive. If nothing else it's probably a good thing to put some heat on Gose and not treat him like the appointed one. Pompey, to his credit, has adapted remarkably well to each new challenge.
