EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 reyes and lind, lose lose situation there
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 reyes throws another away I'll put that one as putting in extra effort. He got the ball within arms length.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I don't get the "you can't move a veteren off SS" arguement. If you tell Reyes he is going to play 2B and he says I don't want to, you say fine stay at home and we not pay you your salary.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Story of the 2014 year. Chance at getting out of the inning and instead it becomes a big inning. I have no confidence in Reyes making a big play (even everyday plays are iffy).

If Lind had of stretched any further he would have been pulled off the base. Lind make a good effort in my opinion. Reyes just can't make the big plays. Just imagine if Reyes had only 6 errors this year instead of 19. The Blue Jays might had won another 6 - 7 games. In addition, the errors he makes are a motivation killer for the team (and it really peeves the fans).
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 ok... anyone playing? lol http://www.researchthroughgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/you-lose-D-you-lost-the-game-10676802-750-6001.jpg it's getting late earlier.

I do think that it's a tougher change to approach than fans probably think it is...it also shouldn't be done just to be done. There has to be an increase in overall value to make it worth while.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Watch the whole play. Saki made a horrible throw to start the turn. The throw was at Reyes knees. Lost the split second that made the difference Yes Reyes throw was off but looked like ellsbury was going to be safe anyway

What is Reyes going to do if they put his name at 2nd base on the lineup card every day?
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 That run was manufactured by Reyes. However, he is still -1 because of his 2 run error.

Lost the split second that made the difference Yes Reyes throw was off but looked like ellsbury was going to be safe anyway There are many shortstops that would have made that play. Reyes has a history of making errors. I think the Blue Jays made a big mistake by paying him so much.

What is Reyes going to do if they put his name at 2nd base on the lineup card every day? I actually think Reyes would be okay with the move. It just has to be an obvious upgrade. They should tell him that they are looking for a 3B, 2B or SS in the off-season and if they find a solid player at SS he'd be 2B. I just don't think that player is out there...and I don't think the team sees Reyes at SS as a huge issue.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 f*** off everything Yankee. Double down the line goes put of play costing them a run. Wild pitch then caroms right off the wall straight back to the catcher... Costing the Jays that run again.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 jays luck(or lack there of) is amazing sometimes

My first target would be Headley for 10-12 million but Drew would be there with Cabrera for me.

nextyear Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Was not an error technically I am not sure what you mean. It was announced on TV as an error and on the MLB scoring summary as an error - http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2014_09_19_tormlb_nyamlb_1&mode=gameday
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Damnit Buck, wasn't even close.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Wow. That may be ft 3b next year?
bill Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 nice swing by valencia there
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 The Blue Jays must be trying to get a better draft pick. Why would you not PH Dan Johnson for Valencia if you were actually trying to win?
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 lmao at that swing though
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Tank job again this year please. Just like the last two
