bill Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Yes, but after this season, it will get more difficult for Baltimore to keep this team together. Hardy is a free agent and is likely headed to the Yankees or another SS needy club for the highest bidder, which won't be Baltimore. And Markakis is free agent bound as the O's aren't touching that $17.5M option. The problem is that Baltimore lacks the deep pockets of the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays to keep their team together (this is their first $100M+ payroll EVER).. and they have a ton of arb raises and options coming up on their pitching, bullpen, and the suspended Chris Davis. Even with those loses they look overall better than the Jays

comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Will Baltimore throw at us now ?
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Bautista gonna eat one
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Classless move by Stroman. If you want to hit someone to retaliate you don't throw at someone's head and risk ending their career.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Always embarrassing when your being sucky against a team that will make the playoffs
Vincent Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 DJ LeMahieu caught stealing home... didn't see it though.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Will Baltimore throw at us now ? hopefully, I'm bored.

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 meh they were all staring him down so he looked back at them
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Haha, I love Stroman. I actually think that might have been intentional by Stroman. Nice to see some fire under the boys, although if he does do that with intent he needs to make damn sure he keeps the ball below the head.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 bad move by stroman throwing that high
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Always embarrassing when your being sucky against a team that will make the playoffs Couldn't agree more. Hats off to the O's for a hell of a season. Wish we were in their position.

We never know in those situations, it's suspicious that Joseph was the batter, but Stroman missed the zone by a lot later in the same sequence. I think he got pissed off and that's why he looked over to the O's dugout.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Free thanks up for grabs. On a close play at the plate Joseph stepped on Reyes' foot on the transfer to make the tag, Reyes got pissed about it, but probably was just a reflex. Recently Stroman missed above Joseph while he was at the plate, ump issued warnings. Stroman later struck out Joseph and as he was walking back to the dugout looked over at the O's dugout and tensions flared, but no one went off the bench.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 What happened? I was watching the football game jays being sucky, stroman threw behind someones head, both teams warned, stroman yelled at the orioles as they stared him down like a pack of hungry hyenas

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Royals losing too. s***, I hate the Jays.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Even with those loses they look overall better than the Jays Oops, forgot Nelson Cruz. He's a goner as well.. no way the O's give him $15M+/year, especially with the Yanks and Rangers expected to bid on him. It's uncertain what the O's will be like next year, or whether they will be competitive. Their window is nearing its end, especially as Jones ages, and the current core hits free agency.

bill Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I look forward to them sucking next year. Don't hold your breath if they still have Showalter they'll be competitive.
