Does this team have enough heart to pull it out?

At the start of the Yankees series I said we're going to sweep them and go on an epic run to make the playoffs, we didn't get the sweep but it's potentially shaping up to be a nice last kick now. A wk prior to that I said if any team is goofy & streaky enough to pull off a magical season ending run it's this one. I believed those things were possible when I said them because honestly the Jays always do the opposite of what everyone thinks. Whenever you think you have this team pegged they go in the complete opposite direction, seriously is there a more enigmatic team in the league??

 

So herein lies the danger with this team, during these next two series if we collectively expect the Jays to beat the Red Sox and Cubs we're liable to lose one series and get swept in the other. No team toys with your emotions more than the Blue Jays! So I ask you this, does this team really have the heart to bare down and do what it takes to make one last playoff drive? Is this team just goofy enough to go on one last epic streak to close the season? Is anything really possible with this team? Because the way I see it is the only thing for sure with the Jays is that nothing's for sure..

Yes they do

 

The problem is they are not completely in control of their own destiny. even if they win 75% of their remaining games, they need at least 2 decent to good teams to play under 500 the rest of the way because we don't get to play Oakland or Detroit head to head any more.

Tell me - when he goes to the games, doesn't any tiny part of him seem happy when the Jays are winning?

Not sure what heart has to do with it at this point. They need a massive winning streak and be lucky enough that the other teams lose. Heart has little to do with other teams losing

I still find it ridiculous anyone can call themselves a Rays fan. s***** fanbase, boring players, ugly Jerseys and stadium, and they trade their best players.

79.5 was the over/under on wins for this team. I'm guessing he's got that bet then after that he doesn't give a damn what the team does.

They need extra heart against Seattle. KC and Detroit need to have so much heart in their 6 games they have nothing left in the tank for for the White Sox.

Hurl is the type of guy that would get free tickets right behind home plate from a really nice guy on Bluejaysmessageboard.com only to wear a Rays shirt in the beforementioned seats.

because other fans, jerseys, a stadium I don't go to and personalities of players are important in cheering a team. I'd like to add that our Sports Marketing teacher called all the front offices and asked for them to send their marketing dept. to visit. The Rays were the only one of two to respond. They will send a representative and also offered for the program to visit the Trop at any time. The other to respond was the Jays..."we regret to inform you"

For a star player I find Longo really boring.

 

Boring guys don't get this...well actually they do but still I don't think Longo is boring.

That part is a cool story I'll give you that.

 

We will probably have our graduation party in Florida in May 2016. One of our profs has a connect with IMG Academy in Bradenton and they will give us a place to stay on the academy. We'd then hopefully take the Rays up.
