IBTrini Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 The ball was there a half hour before the runner, it wouldn't have mattered if he had a path to the f***ing plate... Navarro could have gone to the dugout to get a lawn chair and still tagged him out. I agree with this. The runner was not even remotely close enough for a blocked plate call to make sense.

It's one thing if you're trying to obstruct the runner while the ball isn't close but this case the ball was there, runner was all but out, throw took him into the path, all good. BTW is this YOUR arm by any chance?

I kind of agree with previous thoughts that maybe managers shouldn't be allowed to come out and wait for their own guys to tell them whether or not to challenge. For example, the 1st base coach should be able to tell the bench whether to challenge at 1b or not, and if it's close enough that he isn't sure then it probably doesn't deserve to be challenged in the first place. Stuff like that would help quite a bit.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 This is exactly why you don't bench Colby. Unless gose is an option-IMO.

Also, umps should only be there to call plays on the field and not strikes n balls, but ill be surprised if we ever see that
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Just tell me it's not the ex's name lol f*** no, I'm pretty dumb, but even I'm not dumb enough to get a chick's name tattooed on me. (Well, actually, not entirely true... My next tat is my sister's initials, but that's a whole different ball of fish..)
