GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I thought you carried your spreadsheets around? Damnit GD, this is why we can't have nice things. You know full well I don't have the muscle mass to carry around my i7 quad core 4.58 GHz overclocked Lenovo thinkpad. Get your head in the game.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Drew Smyly is going to be kind of awesome when Alex Cobb teaches him The Thing.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I'm not going to make excuses for the offense, but maybe, just maybe, the pitcher who was traded for David f***ing Price is performing well because the Rays saw that he was good and expected him to be good? Very likely. Plus, he's in a better organization now. Tigers are going to regret the Price trade if they miss the playoffs..
GoldenHawk07 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Broadcast team mentioning that Henke is the Rays pitching coach makes me wonder how many of our coaches will survive the winter. I'm not particularly attached to any of them and am not convinced there won't be better options available
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Brett Cecil quietly having a really good year. He's striking out at a rate of ~12 K/9
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 LOL, not at the same time though. If I suspend baseball, I'll drink some beer. Whew! That was close lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 That's OK. As a relief pitcher on an AL team, he rarely comes up to bat anyway. #Englishisathing Orgfiller is Mexican, give him a break.
Slider Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 The offense was dead this game. Smyly pitched a great game for Tampa. I was quite impressed with his pitching tonight.

Honestly, don't wanna take anything away from Smyly, but I don't know if it's such a feat to mow down our post-June offense.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 That's racist. http://i.imgur.com/BkaTB6g.gif moogy.gif

That's why I said the offense was dead. The offense has been dead for a long time now but Smyly still pitched a great game for sure.
Slider Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 We can only hope that tomorrow's game will be much better.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 That's monthsist. lol, good one
