Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Even Siddall is ripping Navarro for his horrible framing.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Bases loaded again. Who's the guy calling the game with Buck? Seems decent. Joe Siddall from Fan590 filling in while Tabler is away.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Who's the guy calling the game with Buck? Seems decent. Joe Siddall, he's usually with Jerry Howarth in the radio booth, and gets the occasional gig when Pat is out. He's very good.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Btw, this is not the first time I've tuned in to a broadcast (radio or TV) where Siddall is critiquing and talking about the importance of framing, I remember him praising McCann while the Jays were in New York.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Thank god Drabek god out of that mess...
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 2 mediocre teams, meh...pretty soon, I'll tune out baseball for a long while, like I ditched beer.

Siddall for GM?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 xFIP v. ERA (before he came out for the 6th) says differently. Are you arguing with xFIP? o s***
GoldenHawk07 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 To the poster who mentioned Drabek falling to 1st. I thought it was when he landed his front foot was always angled at he needed to land with it pointing straight at home instead? Then again maybe being angled results in the fall so it could be the same issue
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 It's a little depressing watching Drabek throw a 91 MPH fastball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 xFIP v. ERA (before he came out for the 6th) says differently. Are you arguing with xFIP? xFIP doesn't account for your horrible catcher adding two walks to the pitcher's line, just saying.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Or for perpetual excuse-making to protect My Little Stromy. Okay so this has got to be a violation of something in the TOS.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 13 straight retired by Smyly and 5-13 in August. And there are still some on here who maintain that this team didn't quit after July 31st.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 quick i'll calculate his xxFIP with my solar powered calculator let me get it out of my pocket protector I thought you carried your spreadsheets around? Damnit GD, this is why we can't have nice things.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Well, the team's run differential just hit 0.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 13 straight retired by Smyly and 5-13 in August. And there are still some on here who maintain that this team didn't quit after July 31st. Some people just don't like admitting when they are wrong, again and again. They were wrong about the O's. Wrong about the Yanks. Wrong about the Red Sox. Wrong about the Rays. Wrong about the Mariners and Royals. Seriously though. Some players may have been looking for an excuse to tank, but hey, at least tank all the way, this way the house is cleaned and the new tenants get a higher draft pick.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Suddenly I'm glad I didn't ask my less-than-casual friends to see if they wanted to go to this game.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 I'm not going to make excuses for the offense, but maybe, just maybe, the pitcher who was traded for David f***ing Price is performing well because the Rays saw that he was good and expected him to be good?

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 What??? No baseball and ... no beer? Total freaking blasphemy!!! LOL, not at the same time though. If I suspend baseball, I'll drink some beer.
