Melky Cabrera reached eight times Sunday alone, going 3 for 5 with five walks to become the first player to reach eight-plus times in one game since Rod Carew had five hits and three walks for Minnesota on May 12, 1972. Cabrera is batting .388 with a .488 on-base percentage over his last 17 games. Tigers: Hernandez is 8-2 with a 1.42 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and .168 opponents' average in those starts, the latest of which resulted in a 4-2 home win over Atlanta on Tuesday. The Seattle ace allowed a run and four hits while striking out eight over eight innings for his first victory in four starts. The Mariners have won five of six after Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Logan Morrison extended his hitting streak to 11 games, though just one has been a multihit effort. P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Go, Jays! Two out of three would be great. Three would be fantastic.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Will be a tough game. Really excited for this game. Hope the Jays fans are out in full force.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Pretty good career #s vs. King Felix. We have a shot. And of course, the Mariners offense is lousy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Pretty good career #s vs. King Felix. We have a shot. And of course, the Mariners offense is lousy. We do seem to have better results against hard throwing righties than we do against crafty lefties and junkballers. I wonder if that bears out or if that's just our perception?

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) Wow Colby Rasmus has a .714 batting average against Felix! It's only 7 AB but let's disregard that and throw a big shiny graphic on the screen and ramble on about it for 10 minutes! Edited August 12, 2014 by eastcoastjaysfan
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 No Reyes? Rest day. He's fine. After playing 19 innings, he and Cabrera are being rested, with Cabrera DHing and Gose in LF.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 lol no one gets to say f*** you Reyes... that's a bonus.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Really don`t like sitting Reyes in a crucial game when we have an off day on Thursday. Time to man up. It`s the f***ing stretch run.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Lets go jays! Win it for the home crowd!
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I'd be so annoyed as a mariner fan but businesses probably love it

It`s the f***ing stretch run. Agree. Tied with Seattle, I could see if there's no off days for a while but FFS earn your 17 million dollars. Angels sat Hamilton and Red Sox sat Ortiz yesterday but Hamilton was in a slump and Ortiz is much older. Give me a break.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Maybe we can score a lucky 1 or 2 runs tonight and Hutch can pitch a gem. Will try not to get mad at the boys for striking out a ton tonight, gonna happen.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 look at those jays fans, haha!! everyone but king's court It was awesome when that 1 Jays fan was in the middle of King's court last year.

Governator Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 lol Rasmus batting 4th because of 7 at bats.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Jays are +215 in this game. Definitely a huge underdog but lets hope we pull through!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Jaw dropped upon seeing Cy Felix's numbers
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Why does Reyes "need" the day off? He's a god damn professional athlete. If he's not hurt he should be playing.
ParkdaleTdot Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Howed he even get the "King" nickname? Did he give himself this name? He's far from the king, as far as pitchers are concerned.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Why does Reyes "need" the day off? He's a god damn professional athlete. If he's not hurt he should be playing. Seriously though... 98% of the time they are standing still or sitting... they have like 5 days off this month.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Jaw dropped upon seeing Cy Felix's numbers That man is truly ridiculous. Hard to believe he is only 28 years old.
