burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Seriously....did Juan bang Gibby's wife? No he just has a hard on for Valencia against RHP
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 f*** YOU GIBBONS. USE JUAN FRANCISCO VS RHP. cf
North of 60 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Gibbons doesn't know how to use our deadline stud Valencia.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Valencia vs righties lol lolololololololol
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 At least Colby will hit a HR
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 The Raptors are still a few years away from being relevant in the playoffs. Every year the Jays suck and everyone says "Least we got the Raptors". Same s*** every year. If that was said every year before I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm. It actually has some merit now.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 It's so annoying how people base their enjoyment of a team's season on if they made the playoffs are not. It's not even their fault either, it's how the sports leagues/media have conditioned us. Considering how much of a crapshoot the MLB playoffs are, yes, just getting into the playoffs is something worth cheering for. And 21 years and counting of no playoffs f***ing sucks. It also f***ing sucked to see the Expos miss out on playoff appearances that could have saved the franchise due to the lack of a wildcard.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 After his pitiful strike out earlier can Rasmus wind up saving the game for the Jays?
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 At least .500 teams don't win championships in the NBA. .500 teams don't even make the playoffs in MLB, so not sure what relevance that is.

It's not even their fault either, it's how the sports leagues/media have conditioned us. I'd rather see the Blue Jays win 93 and not make the playoffs than win 85 and claim the second wild card. Even if they advance to the ALDS. Be a great team. That should be every team's goal. Great teams are worth watching and getting excited over. Normally I would agree, but after 20 years of no playoffs, I would beg to differ.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Not really, the Raptors have "first/second-round treadmill" written all over them. Atlanta Hawks North. Um. Not really.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Not really, the Raptors have "first/second-round treadmill" written all over them. Atlanta Hawks North. Let me guess ... FireMasaiUjiri?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Chances of Valencia hitting a double are better than Francisco hitting a HR Valencia vs RHP = 68 wRC+ Juan vs RHP = 116 wRC+
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Good AB Rasmus. Pls don't strike out, Juan.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Can the pinch hitter of Francisco who sat on the bench all game come through for the Jays with one swing of the bat?
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Let me guess ... FireMasaiUjiri? Nah, not yet. He was handed a s*** sandwich by BC and is making the best of it. And at least he builds teams that can actually make the playoffs, unlike AA.
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Not really, the Raptors have "first/second-round treadmill" written all over them. Atlanta Hawks North. Even if they are I don't care. At least they'll be playing meaningful games all year and have a great shot at making the playoffs and a promising future.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Pitching coach: So.... do you know how to throw an inside breaking ball?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 come on man in white, we need you now!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 lmao @ the Brown tigers fan.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I think that's just a product of everyone constantly hyping up the playoffs. I don't believe in celebrating mediocrity. Greatness is its own reward. If you love baseball in general there is still lots to cheer about within mediocrity.
