Man, what is wrong with the Tigers lately? 9-11 in their last 20, losing to the Yankees, and 9-10 since the 2nd half started. Better figure things out soon, or Kansas City might steal the division. And the bullpen is melting again.. 4-1 Yankees now.

Even good teams have stretches where they play like crap

Good job boys. Couldn't watch that one tonight but hopefully we'll take the series tomorrow! And wtf is going on with Hutch? That was an incredible outing! Now, if only he could stay consistent...

So I missed the game and watching the highlights I'm wondering why Gibby pulled Hutch after 8.2? He's done this before this season, Buerhle comes to mind. Was Hutch's pitch count that high? Was he tired? Paranoid he might give up a 2 run shot and ruin his great night? Hutch seemed pissed off on the highlights, probably just mad at himself for his 1 walk but still.

His pitch count was a little high. I think it had more to due with getting Casey some work in.

More so then you....I said start one again...not continue the old one

Why would you start another one, that makes no sense.

Just 13 pages on a GDT = good outing for the Jays. If posters don't have s*** to bitch about many don't post.

I think it had more to do with Tuesdays game, it seemed like such a critical game at the time (even though it really wasn't), and we lost so utterly badly... many lost hope / interest.

Great game from Hutch.

Kinda sad that todays GDT thread views/posts is only a fraction of yesterdays. Seems like everyone bailed after yesterdays brutal loss.

It could also be that there were not too many opportunities for whining - In lost games every error/miscue is accompanied by multiple rage posts. Whatever was the cause the GDT are so much more pleasant without all the name-calling/venting.

He is still young and learning but the quality of his stuff is evident - he should do well going forward.

Agreed, there are too many people on this board that only post when times are bad. Although, it's more enticing to post rants and get your frustration out than typing "great job billy!" in every post when things are going well.

Despite being the Comedy Central champs a few years running, the Tigers have been underachievers in the regular season and this year is no different. They're good enough to make the playoffs, but that's because of their mediocre-at-best competition. Their bullpen have thrown away so many regular season games for them (I'd like to see the numbers on that, actually, but that's my perception) and this year their offense has been pretty beat up to compound the issue. Imagine if they'd hung on to Fielder - yeesh. They could very easily finish the season as the third-best division winner despite having a rotation consisting of David f***ing Price, Max f***ing Scherzer, Justin f***ing Verlander, and Anibal f***ing Sanchez. Pathetic.
