TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Looking like Lester being traded is pretty likely at this point.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 bradfo To recap per sources: Jays, Orioles not in mix on Lester; one GM just said believes Lester deal likely to happen tonight or tomm morning
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Traded to Jays ---> Jays start him tomorrow lol Haha, imagine him switching to our dugout tomorrow lol

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 As long as it's not to the AL East, I couldn't care less. The east is in perfect balance right now...pure zen...we don't need the BoSox and some other team f***ing that s*** up.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 I saw the article on MLB.com through the at bat app, but I can't find the link when searching in chrome. All the stuff written online is from a few hours ago saying that Lester is still scheduled to start but Workman will be called up just in case. The article I read in at-bat, however, says that Lester has been scratched according to Farrell's post game from tonight. Image of at-bat article: http://i.imgur.com/Z6a4qDg.jpg All of this tells me that Cherington probably got a lot closer in his talks over the last few hours and Lester is probably gone soon.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 So who is AA looking for? Tyson Ross and Chris Denorfia
prayforthejays Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 So who is AA looking for? He is looking for the Bargian bin

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lester to the Pirates is imminent
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lester to the Pirates is imminent If the Pirates land Lester, do you see the Cards doing everything in their power to land Price as a counter?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If the Pirates land Lester, do you see the Cards doing everything in their power to land Price as a counter? They shouldn't do anything they wouldn't otherwise do. The Cardinals are competing against so many teams other than the Pirates.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lester to the Pirates is imminent this would be very pleasing
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lester to the Pirates is imminent also curious...how do you know this!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 They shouldn't do anything they wouldn't otherwise do. The Cardinals are competing against so many teams other than the Pirates. Well it wouldn't shock me to see them go after Price even harder especially if the Pirates land Lester. I don't think they need to add to their rumoured proposal at this point since having a package led by OT is already tough to turn down.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 also curious...how do you know this! Boston insider and Big Papi friend
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 It's not happening yet. The Red Sox only recently decided to trade Lester and it seems like teams are still presenting overtures. I bet they'll wait until at least tomorrow afternoon to pull the trigger.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Tyson Ross and Chris Denorfia What about Bartolo Colon? Is this year the last year on his contract?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 What about Bartolo Colon? Is this year the last year on his contract? I believe he has another year after this one for 11 mil.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I believe he has another year after this one for 11 mil. Damn, not worth it then. Thanks for the info.
GoFlamesGo Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 The jays will only dumpster dive for trash. They can't add any money, and to get a contract covered, it will cost majorly in terms of prospects. I'd be surprised if we acquired anything else, let alone anything of note.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 What could the As give up that would be an attractive package to Boston? Lesser pitchers with more control.
