Athletics “Appear To Have Deal” For Lester

Red Sox ace Jon Lester has been traded, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports (Twitter link). The A’s appear to have a deal for Lester, tweets Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Reports surfaced that Lester had been traded to an unknown team. Rumors are now swirling that he has been traded to the Athletics along with Johnny Gomes, for Yoenis Cespedes.

 

Take everything you read this early in a trade announcement with a grain of salt.

If Price was in another division I'd go for it, but having these prospects haunt us for years is difficult, if they pan out.

 

Not if we make the playoffs twice. By the end of the next two years with reyes, bautista and Ee age and melky gone it will be a different ball team. Price would be worth it.
