I meant to say Pillar. At the end of the day there are other options of improvement that this team desperately needs like a veteran reliever a right handed bat and another starter

Colon is another option. Sooner or layer Stroman is going to hit the rookie wall. Hutchinson looks like he is already tired

I don't expect the Jays to compete next year. The Yankees and Redsox will be much improved. The rays will be healthy and iny opinions Orioles have more younger talent then the Jays. Veterans will be 1 year older and it will be another 5 to 10 years before this team comes close to sniffing a playoff spot again

Go away.

Orioles are losing JJ Hardy AND Nelson Cruz, along with Nick Markakis, and ownership isn't likely to pony up, especially with Davis and Wieters hitting free agency in 2015.

Yankees don't have flexibility to spare because of A-Rod's contract, and a declining roster.

Red Sox have a lot of things to fix, especially the offense.

Rays will be bad next year unless Price gets dealt for young bats.

I get not wanting to give a ton of prospects but if all that is holding the Jays back is adding $$$, that is horse s***. THIS IS THE WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!

I blame AA he should have left some room on the $140M he was given but he has made so many stupid signings

Could have left Kratz as starter and had $10M now for deadline

Kratz has bounced around the minors for 12 years for a reason. He's not a guy, even with his defense, you want starting. Besides, Navarro/Thole is still an upgrade over what we had last year in JP Arencibia.

Love Rickards Red. A top 5 beer for me.

I love Red, but black was my favourite until they removed it for some reason.

Anything by St. Ambroise is top notch though, especially around October, when their pumpkin beer is on sale.

In the past 5 years the only team that had not competed in the AL east are the Jays. Trends tell me that this will continue

Orioles have great young pitching while young allstar core players like Jones Machado

Rays rotation alone can take the team to 90 wins even with poverty bats

Yankees are Yankees. They will sign James Shields with a healthy Tanaka and Sabathia they will be favorites again

As for the Sox I'll give you them. However traditionally they have rebounded well

I think for the jays writing will already be on the wall from Bautista. He will want to go play for a team that wants to win. It wouldn't surprise me too see Bautista in a Yankees uniform some time soon. With melky walking away this will leave an offense that relies on an. Off injured Lind. Dickey and burly will be a year older. Burly looks finished Dickey is dickey. Stroman may pitch well but Sanchez has a terrible walk ratio in the minors. Jays will be lucky if he doesn't get hurt which is a high probability due to how hard he throws but even if he stays healthy best we can hope for is an Edwin Jackson type since he walks so many guys.

Jays are a 4th place team next year

Never tried the black unfortunately. Looking forward to some pumpkin beer this October.

But...

Dat $15 million framing!!

Again with the subtle insults. Why are you being so rude? Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean you need to be sarcastic and just plain mean spirited about it. itgoesbothways.jpg

i swear if someone takes this seriously

Have you missed every start stroman has made? Hutch is a solid young starter. Have you never heard of Norris, Nolin or hoffman? The jays have ee Reyes, Lind, Lawrie and Bautista for the next few years and some quality young starters in the system. The jays are also in a playoff position now. You probably said the jays were a lock for last place prior to the season getting going

We ARE a winning team. As it stands, we make the playoffs if the season ends today. And really, with such mediocre competition right now, we have a good chance.

And regarding your comments:

-Shields isn't going to New York.. his stuff would get him destroyed at Yankee Stadium, and there's no guarantees on Sabathia and Tanaka even being healthy.

-Orioles do have young pitchers, but zero bats in the minors system. Nelson Cruz was basically luck.. without him, O's aren't even contending. And he will likely leave for bigger money this winter, along with Markakis and Hardy. Peter Angelos is a cheapskate, and they may have to cut payroll if they lose in the litigation with the Washington Nationals regarding MASN. And their roster is about to get a lot more expensive, as several key pieces, such as Britton, Tillman, Gonzalez, Davis, Norris, and Wieters are due huge raises.

-David Price is gone this offseason. Rays are heading for a rebuild, as the franchise cannot afford a $100M payroll they would require if they kept Price.

-Red Sox didn't contend from 2010-2012, if you forgot. 2013 was a fluke caused by strong career and walk years for guys like Napoli, Victorino, Buchholz, Ellsbury, etc. Reality has set in for them this year, and the team faces a lengthy rebuild trying to build a roster, especially post-Ortiz, when he retires.

And if you're going to say things about the Jays, at least spell the player's names right! And Bautista's not going to the Yankees. This isn't the late 90s/early 2000s.

Sabathia is likely close to done and tanaka very well might not pitch again until next August/sept.

The rays could be financially screwed if they don't trade price and his approx $20 mil salary next year, very well could be a fire sale this winter in Tampa.

Anyone who discounts the Jays in 2015 is out to lunch. The division is weak and the Jays may have holes, but so do all the other teams. A lot of payroll is coming off the books and the Jays still have 4/5 of the rotation locked up for 2015 with Sanchez, Norris and Nolin knocking on the door for a rotation spot. This is a team that should at the very least be a WC contender next season.

Yup and all of that makes it even more depressing if tight ass Rogers doesn't open their wallet when we're so close to seizing this division.

Rickards Red is easily a top 3 for me. The white isn't bad, but thats more of a personal choice if you like sweet tasting beer or not

Rickards Red is awful. A Top 5 beer? You have to be joking!

Guess you missed the part where I said for me. Not everyone needs to act like a pretentious prick. Let people like what they like and if you don't then you don't.

I just hope that AA doesn't do anything Colossally stupid. Standing pat with what he has right now is NOT the worst thing he could do.

I agree. I'd be upset if we emptied the farm for a rental. I doubt one player will be enough to give us the best odds to win the World Series.

Emptying the farm for a picture with another year on their contract is something I can live with.

don't think AA will do anything drastic & will not take on much if any payroll & will not, imo, give up Sanchez

could see him add a controllable bullpen arm but that's about it...
