As I predicted a month or so ago those that said tampa was out of it were and are dead wrong. They probably have the best pitching in the division and the best manager in Maddon and will soon overtake the Jays in the standings which isn't really saying much given the sad state the Jays lineup is in. three years of production with an .ops above .900 for EE leads me to believe he will get back to production soon enough. There's only 6 players in the AL with an .ops above .900 and EE is 3rd on that list with a .959 OPS. That's more than just a little loss that for a team to overcome. He will be a welcome sight in the lineup.

I agree that Maddon > Gibby. As for the pitching, if we add a decent starter, we'll own them.

Despite playing lights out they are still 4.5 games out of the 2nd WC and need to jump 5 teams in the process. They have played themselves back in to it but they still have a long ways to go.

Their presence should help the other guys who are drained,and we should get better pitches to hit.
