DH12 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) As I predicted a month or so ago those that said tampa was out of it were and are dead wrong. They probably have the best pitching in the division and the best manager in Maddon and will soon overtake the Jays in the standings which isn't really saying much given the sad state the Jays lineup is in. There's only 6 players in the AL with an .ops above .900 and EE is 3rd on that list with a .959 OPS. That's more than just a little loss that for a team to overcome. He will be a welcome sight in the lineup.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I agree that Maddon > Gibby. As for the pitching, if we add a decent starter, we'll own them.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Despite playing lights out they are still 4.5 games out of the 2nd WC and need to jump 5 teams in the process. They have played themselves back in to it but they still have a long ways to go.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 They will eventually cool off,or get an injury here or there.
