RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 The last game of the season could very well end up being meaningless and our B squad will play with Scott Diamond or Dickey on the mound. Dickey Thole sendoff.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 The biggest game of the year against a hot hitting lineup and in their ballpark. Sanchez, our ace, comes out and shuts them right the f*** down. It's really a shame he didn't get better defense and bullpen help or he would be contending for a Cy Young award. A long way to come for a guy who most labelled as a no 5 in this rotation. Best ERA in the A.L, went 15-2and was lights out against the AL east. f***ing beast.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 He will a get a few CY Young votes too

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 He's not the leader in wins, but is the leader in win % in the MLB. That should help his cause a bit.

spats Verified Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 lol I was just going to say that photo looks like it was taken this year. Sorry. I just checked back...the picture was taken in March 2013 when he was 20..doesn't look like he bulked up that much last off season.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 192 IP with the lowest ERA in the AL F'n fantastic He made it impossible for them to move him to the pen or shut him down He might be the team MVP
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I think the organization's only mistake with Sanchez was letting the fans and media know too much about the inner turmoil and deliberations that were going on

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Donaldson not even close It's pretty insulting to JD that anybody else would even be discussed as team MVP. Without JD, Sanchez' breakout would be entirely irrelevant because the Jays would have been a .500 team.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Donaldson not even close OK yes I got carried away
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 How about "player who most exceeded pre season expectations"
SweetSmellingChacin Verified Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Sanchez may not finish #1 in Cy Young voting, but he's number 1 in my heart.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 How about "player who most exceeded pre season expectations" He's blown expectations out of the water, yes, even for Jimcanuck. No one saw the transition he made in 16'
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 He's blown expectations out of the water, yes, even for Jimcanuck. No one saw the transition he made in 16' True. I predicted 3+ WAR for Sanchez, with the expectation he would progress to a 1B SP (not an ace) within a few years. His durability is a question though, suspect there are other reasons for the concern with his IP and the 2 week exile this year than simply being cautious.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
