Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I think it's really hard to be motivated when it's 14-1. All the more reason to bean someone and get some anger flowing through the team.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 No wonder we are getting killed, look at all the Newfies there tonight.
abola2121 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm for a massive fire-sale of all current position players, and replacing them with 18-19 Y/O prospects from A ball.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I,ll be happy with a split. How far away are ED, Brett, and Lind,i know he is farthest?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 All the more reason to bean someone and get some anger flowing through the team. I don't disagree. The Sox are really looking comfortable in the and they need to get a wake up call. Couple chin dusters and a fastball in Ortiz's hip in his next AB would be perfect.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm open to a massive fire-sale of all current position players, and replacing them with 18-19 Y/O prospects from A ball. I'm wondering how long before I see this name in red...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 LOL.. Now we're getting high light reeled.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 14-1 game an the idiot is jumping into the wall.... Hope he breaks his arm next time for being stupid. Hustle is one thing, making a play like that in a blowout is another. Though I guess Holt has to do that s*** to stay relevant.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 The sad part is we could lose 35-1 tonight and it still wouldn't sink in to AA & the Jays management. Make a goddamn trade and bring in some new blood, ffs team morale and fan base morale is in the f***ing gutter.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Claim Mills, who you traded away for a back up catcher, pay the waiver fee, DFA McGuire, who is basically a wash at this point and shouldn't have been drafted as high as he was, then DFA another player that is a wash, and think people will take you seriously when you're telling them you're actively looking for players. Why the f*** would you even bother with scrubs? It's liek AA is contractually bound to make a certain number of waiver claims a year for s*** players to cycle through. This team, of all teams, should know just how bad Mills was going to be back in the AL East and this bandbox, but no, bring him in. Might as well have called up someone from Buffalo who wasn't on the 40 man just to plug a spot.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 If Navarro was catching tonight, it would be 30-1
comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 If we hit one of their players now,we are f***ed later. The pitchers today suck donkeys ass for brushbacks.A good brushback pitch by us would be high and inside, meaning high, and on the inside corner of the plate.Today players get beaned, and broken writs, and headshots for hitting too well. Would still like to see up go high and tight on Ortiz, the right way.there can be no objection then,or shouldnt be.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Calling a 3 hit shutout in favour of the Jays tomorrow.
Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Uh, you'd get anger flowing through the Sox, and they may really start the pummeling. But any self-respecting player on the beaning team would just be embarrassed that they resorted to beanings because they couldn't record an out. Incorrect.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 These things do happen. This one springs immediately to mind: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR199208280.shtml The problem is that this team is 125-137 and is clearly going down in every respect. There is a real opportunity here to recognize that the 'all in' experiment has been a failure and to rebuild with trades for good prospects. We cannot let this chance pass us by.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 well on the plus side, Rasmusson looks decent tonight
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 well on the plus side, Rasmusson looks decent tonight Was it possible to look worse than Mills?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 The good thing is that we get Peavy tomorrow, who has been garbage for the Sox. Esmil Rogers, Chad Jenkins or Austin Bibens-Dirkx are likely getting calls right now to be ready to come to Toronto tomorrow after Mills is DFAd.

Get rid of gibbons...no offense. We need a name manager badly. These guys have no accountability because of it being a hockey town. We need to show the fans we are serious about winning like we did in 92-93,a good sound baseball move, some scouting, some dominicans.......... lol
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Was it possible to look worse than Mills? How in hell did the A's get a few starts out Mills? He's still garbage.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Lmao we're getting literally f***ed and jizzed on by the sox
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 This year's team has done the unthinkable: they've somehow become LESS likeable than last year's team.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Lmao we're getting literally f***ed and jizzed on by the sox Well, the rest of the series favors Toronto. Lackey's been good all year.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Redsox have rightie pitchers.hhhmmmm We should at least split this series...no? 3 out of 4 at this point would feel amazing. Go Luck Go !
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 There can't still be people watching this game...

comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Peavy has 19 Ks and 5 BBs in 19 IP in his last 3 starts. 2.84 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He's seemingly turning it around like the rest of the Sox. Funny how all these other teams in the same divison have had bad injuries like us,yet they are improving, while we flounder.Namely TB,and BOS. We should watch what they have done, and copy it.
