Or comparing the exact process of sending down or dfa the player after a long period of failure in the majors to work things out without the pressure of mlb play

 

The process is the same whether it's a position player, sp or rp

A purge needs to take place ASAP around here. This place has fallen apart. Mods need to step up their games or they need to step aside and allow others the chance to do the job.

 

It's basically exactly the same as the old board.

If you were paying attention, I'm certainly not one of those people. In reality, part of my background is why I am extremely cynical about the statistical based opinions some people post on this board. My background taught me to keep perspective on numbers; my work experience included quality assurance on data and complicated models. And I don't mean to sound elitist at all, but I am confidant in my abilities and when you are accused of being rank stupid well I have no problem standing up to that bs. If people want to start a war, well, I'm not adverse to taking a few swings.

 

Ahhh. I haven't frequented this forum as much as I posted on the old forum.

 

The only posters I really have an idea of what they're about are the regulars from the old site, people I've been to games with, or posters I play or have played Fantasy Ball with.

f***, I hate these threads where they start off normal so I decide to skip to page 8 and all I see are pictures of Jews and personal insults and such. Now I have to go through the other 6 pages to find out exactly where and how this degenerated.

 

This has got to be mind boggling how much wasted talent and how much "sell high" opportunities this team has squandered. Someone mentioned up front that Santos was a key piece in the Kinsler deal that fell apart after someone didn't pass a physical. If this is true:

 

And it was Kinsler who didn't pass, the Jays' doctors are f***ing stupid because he's having a great, injury-free year

 

If it was someone that the Jays offered to the Rangers, namely Santos, then they Jays are still f***ing stupid for not offering a similar arm as a replacement or in addition to Santos to send them all packing.

 

At this stage I just refuse to believe that rumour and hope that the Rangers just preferred Fielder for whatever reason. Which in this case they were f***ing stupid because anything that the Jays offered would have been better than Fielder right about now.

I have given CHP a short vacation from the board for being an insufferable prick. If any of you that complained about him quotes him when he's back, you'll be given twice as long a banning.
