Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Not sure why McGowan or Santos weren't brought in for the seventh, and the Cecil for Hamilton. One inning too late, Gibby. It's almost like he half managed to win the game, half managed to conserve the pen. Dumb strategy, but Gibbons has been making dumb moves for over a month now. Loup should not have been facing Pujols.

All that matters is that one tick in the W column.

MrMariusz Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 LOL, what are they calling strikes... Angels homers approving of those bs calls.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 and now the ump gives the closer every single call
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Umps took that from Kawa. Unfair.
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Yes, lets swing at balls in the dirt.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Its like the ump wants to go home. Or screw Toronto like they've done all year.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Bad loss.. 6-3 lead with Stro on the mound and then give up a 7-6 late lead.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 "Light that baby up!" - Angels announcer Light up what?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Did Bautista do anything today? He hit a couple of liners right at people.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I think they mean the Jays season is over.

sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Very good job by Redmond so far. So, Gibbons pulls Redmond to bring in Loup and then leads Loup in against a tough right hander when he has a right hander in the pen warming up? Yes Why........would you have done things differently
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 "Light that baby up!" - Angels announcer Light up what? They always say this s*** and I never understood what they're talking about
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 They always say this s*** and I never understood what they're talking about I think it has something to do with the halo in the Angels logo or something like that. Anyway, disappointing loss.. but our next three opponents (TB at 42-51, TEX at 38-52, BOS at 39-51) are a combined 119-154, along with a Tanaka-less Yankees.. certainly we can get hot on these teams. I'm not buying TB's recent rally, as I expect the team to still be blown up at the deadline. Also, the Jays are 5-2 vs. the Rays this year, including a split at the Trop earlier this year.

Tough loss today...like the optimism above. Why not? Didn't see the game but heard Reyes had a couple more hits and another E that cost a run. Stro didn't have it today. I was using score app but Kawa bunted with 2 on and Narvarro at 2nd in the 6th. Force at 3rd. Tell me that wasn't a sac bunt attempt please!! Kawa has been hitting the ball well and you would have to place the ball where you want it with your hands to ensure Navarro doesn't get thrown out on wheel play. If we had sac on I HATE that call. Right after that Reyes and Tolly were toast and promising inning over. Also heard Loup faced Pujols....strange call. Is there a match up there Gibby was playing?!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 lol Gibbons raging in post-game interviews and deservedly so
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
