sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Brad Glenn is good at hitting pitchers who are terrible journeyman
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 He's like a broken record - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 6 games up! - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 5 games up! - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 4 games up! - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 3 games up! - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 2 games up! - The Blue Jays are first in their division, 1 games up! - The Blue Jays are tied for first place! - The Blue Jays are only 1/2 game back of first place! bzapple Verified Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Thank god that horrible game is over. Soccer-like. To think you could've been watching a great soccer game instead!
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 To think you could've been watching a great soccer game instead! Nah just got my fill of boring, excruciating games today. Rosenthal just tweeted Price is on the verge of going to St Louis?? nm, fake twitter acct.
Convo Verified Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Chad Jenkins is not an MLB-level reliever.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 If there's some good news to mention, Seattle is getting pounded by the White Sox 5-0 right now, of which a Mariners loss puts the Jays only 1 out of the 2nd wild card.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Raysjays just always has the best thing to say.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 They need to tighten up the defense, the pitching has been awesome for awhile now. Who would have thought the problem would be offense

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Jays cant afford to keep pissing away good starting pitching. time to cut some dead weight and make a move or two before losing gets contagious.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Rays won't lose another game from here on.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Baseball is an extremely volatile sport. Remember when the Royals took the Divisional lead from Detroit in June and everyone thought they were going to run away with it? Detroit is currently sitting 5 games ahead of KC. Not to be a blind optimist, but there's still a chance the Jays take the division (assuming the FO makes some much-needed moves). Let's hope AA knows this. Remember, the AL East is weak, and with the upcoming sked, Toronto may have a shot at retaking first, as Baltimore heads into a difficult stretch starting tomorrow. We know the Yanks won't have CC Sabathia coming back, which means more of Whitley, Nuno and whatever AAAA garbage they have in SWB unless they make a trade. Boston's still too far back, and no idea on the Rays.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Rays are just 8.5 back. They have to be thinking they could still be in this thing. No chance. Price is gone as soon as someone meets their price. They need to trade him now... his value will drop the longer they hold him. And they need the O's, Jays and Yankees to melt down to even cut that gap.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Bye bye divisional lead. Unless Baltimore loses tomorrow in the day part of the doubleheader.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Unless Baltimore loses tomorrow in the day part of the doubleheader. Yeah.

The way things are going, the Rays could be back in this thing in a week.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Rays can do no wrong in the eyes of some here, lol.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Rays can do no wrong in the eyes of some here, lol. And they're wrong. Detroit is coming back in the game, now only down 5-3.

Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Rays can do no wrong in the eyes of some here, lol. Hope you are not referring to my last post, because I called them done for a month ago. Things have changed however, and this lacklustre division is allowing lacklustre teams back in the mix.
