Didn't watch until the 9th, Navarro was behind Eddie?

Yes he was

I'm not sure it was wise to walk and put a runner on 3B. Navarro has a good chance of winning game too.

Oh Edwin you are so good

He carried the team on his back in May and if he can get hot again he could carry them to the playoffs. Happ was just fine today. Defense and management were so good.

Offense was close all afternoon. glad they finally got it done. night game tomorrow, day game friday, night game saturday and then day game sunday.

I "probably" wont see the night games. lol. I always say I wont, but usually do, but that 4am start is brutal.

s***** game

Great result

Time to clean up the roster mess though

Pillar hasn't been down for 10 days. cant bring him back yet. not sure what other options they have.

front office should get it's head out of it's collective ass. luck is going to run out soon.

Agreed, however, who has the better chance? It's about playing the numbers I guess, and I don't have them, I'm just sayin.

Edwin showed up Gose & Mastro there so bad.. . Kind of like when Janssen came out one game and showed up Delabar in 3 pitches. That's how it's done son.

Wow, we beat the Brewers twice, and I thought the season was over and the firesale was set to happen any time now.

It's a good win, you gotta win games you play badly in. Hopefully you win more of those than other teams do against you. But this team has to learn to manufacture runs and use their speed when it's on base. The graph showed earlier how they're depending on the long ball for almost half of their runs scored. And that's fine to a point. But this team has to learn to do what they need to do when they should be able to do it without fail. I mean, f***, start Reyes and bunt behind him. If it's a missed bunt, chances are he steals the base anyhow.

All the baserunning gaffe's, botched defensive plays late in games and lack of fundamental execution can't keep happening if this team even hopes to have a chance to win. It just can't. It will catch up to them. The bats went cold, ice cold and when that happens again, they need to find ways to win games. Seeing them fail so often in so many areas tells me that when the next cold snap comes, this team is heavily prone to a long ass strtch of losing baseball.

with Jose not being 100% they cant carry 3 catchers. that would mean that they have to convince Dick that Thole blows and is hurting the team.

Oh FFS get real. Tired of this negative bs. We won because we have a lot of offensive weapons and overcame some mistakes from our bench players. We won because even on their bad outings, our starters RARELY get shelled. We won because Reyes, Bautista, EE etc when they are on are as dynamic a bunch as anywhere, and if we replace our worst players at the deadline we will be a damn good team. We score 7 despite throwing away several easy run scoring opportunities, but it is important to note that almost none of those players were supposed to see much playing time this year.

Look, it's a first place club that went 8-0 against Oakland, Detroit, and Milwaukie. The same teams making serious noise to make the playoffs ( although I do think Milwaukie is no sure thing ).

Amazing really how often we win when we "play badly". I do wonder what the comments would be following other teams like the Yankees and their 200M+ payroll that can't seem to score more then 3 runs most games. Or the Rays that despite a recent winning streak will need to be incredible to get to .500 at end of season ( they won't, the trades are coming ).

Wow. When will the crappy posts on here stop ??? This was beyond absurd weeks ago. We are likely 4.5 ahead of the Yankees, and 9.5 ahead of the Rays. There were MANY posters on here picking these teams to win the division. Is this a Jays message board, or some secret society of Jays haters ?

I see a team that tends to win more then they lose, that has several holes that are not hard to improve on, and no obvious opponent in the AL East that could run away with anything ( not going to happen, only the Jays have shown any capability to do so, and in June they failed to capitalize on that ). It will all be decided in September, except an odd team or two in the division could drop back at some point. Doubt it's the Jays dropping back ( let's say roughly 10% chance of that ). Yankees were the most dangerous team based on their financial clout, but every game they drop now makes them less dangerous later. They need at least one top drawer addition just to keep up.

Seriously now, I don't post much here anymore because the 'debbie downer' mentality here is depressing. You'd think we were 10 games out and about to tank our team by doing something silly ( like trading Bautista for Profar in 2013 ? ).

lol what the f*** is this?

he's a reactionary who likes to shoot his mouth off. what a ridiculous reaction to the fact that the team played bad and got an ugly win.

It's been over a month since that trend happened, but thanks for being the cheerleader.
