DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 really didn't think they'd pitch to him. nice 2 wins against the nl's best!
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 when will someone meet with Bluejay managment and show them this "conventional baseball" ideology is wrong??? Sac bunts don't work out, produce fewer runs than hitting away. There are studies Way to go EE!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 jays needed a win badly... they played badly and they won. all good. lol
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I know bunting is easier said than done, but there are two marginal/AAAA players up who aren't expected to do much offensively, Gose, who there was the story/article about how he was sent to the instructional leagues or clinic to practice bunting, and both can't do it correctly. It's the only thing expected and they can't get it done. If at least Mastroianni isn't sent down then we have a problem. We do since the lack of depth is catching up to the team and more importantly the lack of role players ie bench players who can provide above average defense, either a little pop off the bench of at least make a fundamental move like bunting runners over, can't seem to get it done. No one succeeds 100% of the time but it seems like these guys fail close to 100% of the time doing the simple things. They're supposed to get a bunt down. Deaden the ball. Move the runners over. Add speed to the base paths when a player gets on late but might be injured (Bautista) or slow (Fatso Navarro) not make blunders. With that said f*** YEAH EDWIN!
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Eddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Roster changes to come. Oh yes We can't take this s*** pile on the west coast tour
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Way to pick up the rest of the team Eddie!
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Another basic fundamental baseball play in critical situation?= FAILURE I mean with guys like this who aren't much good for ANYTHING else, how can they have a spot on this team? I'd liker a simple answer to that question. Way to go EE, it's just a shame this team has to rely on the homerun ball to win games because they fall flat on their faces trying to execute the basic fundamentals of baseball.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 EDWING! Walk-off 3 run shot! Even Ace is getting into it (he had a stuffed parrot on his shoulder.)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Good job bullpen Juan and Edwin power the only thing that saved us My god the rest was a s*** show
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 The Brew Crew made a bigger blunder pitching to EE with a base open and the game on the line haha
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Edwin is a monster. He is... precious to me
Jonzo Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Lol why the f*** they pitch to Eddy? Didn't watch until the 9th, Navarro was behind Eddie?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Did Edwin get soaked with Biosteel after he crossed home plate? lol Also has edwin ever done a post game interview?
