Reyes purposefully threw that ball short and Edwin completely misplayed it on second thought. That was an easy hop for Edwin and if he didn't extend to catch it he would have made the play.

While Reyes has been pretty bad on the throws to first, EE also couldn't pick one out of the dirt to save his life.

This was as much a fault with Edwin not playing first base often as it was Reyes. Reyes tried to use the turf and Edwin muffed it up.

Reyes is avg at SS now, but those throwing errors are a result of lack of focus, he's probably taking his offensive struggles to the field.

 

I think 2 plays that are being overlooked are the 2 that Cabrera didn't make in LF and I think Pillar makes at least one of them.
