Jays: Hendricks went 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts for Toronto last month, and he's 6-0 with a 1.92 ERA in 12 games - 10 starts - in the minors. As of Thursday, the Blue Jays had held sole possession of first place in the American League East for 28 consecutive days. The last time they were in first for that long was in 1993. Encarnacion is 8 for 20 with three doubles and that homer over the last five games. Reds: Latos is 0-2 with a 6.45 ERA in four games since compared to a 5-0 record and 3.15 ERA over his last seven home starts against AL opponents. His only start against the Blue Jays was a home victory with San Diego on June 15, 2010, in his first full season in the majors. Cincinnati's Joey Votto has hit safely in all nine games since returning from a strained quadriceps, going 12 for 36 with eight RBIs. Cincinnati's bullpen entered its 4-3 series-finale loss to the Pirates on Thursday with a 5.65 ERA in its previous five games. But the Reds bullpen kept the team in the game as starter Homer Bailey exited after 5 2/3 innings. Cincinnati held Pittsburgh scoreless over the next six innings, but finally relinquished a run in the bottom of the 12th. 1878NHLYR Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Right I'm sticking this one through to the end tonight with it being Friday. It's time I started asking the odd stupid question, otherwise I'm going to learn f*** all. So then, if I start with this >> Hendricks went 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts for Toronto last month, and he's 6-0 with a 1.92 ERA in 12 games - 10 starts - in the minors. Can someone just run through that sentence and explain exactly what that means please. I'm not going to pollute the thread with this s***. I'll limit myself to one question per week. Feel free to insult and abuse me whilst answering the question. Cheers

If that answers your question or if I understood your question properly Also ask away, you shouldn't be insulted for asking questions. Don't be afraid lol

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Navarro at 5th spot is a recipe for disaster... Not much to choose from with Lind being only able to play 1B. I do think Gibbons likes Navarro too much despite his inferior defense, but I could be wrong.

I do think Gibbons likes Navarro too much despite his inferior defense, but I could be wrong. He is a better hitter than the other 2 but the way he botches balls in the low strike zone, makes me want to change channel. Can't he learn how to do it from Kratz?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 How many warning track fly balls/homers will Hendriks give up?
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 How many warning track fly balls/homers will Hendriks give up? He don't have Gose out there either GG
bzapple Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Fatcow there's no 'c' in Hendriks. Get your s*** together. There are some mistakes we can let slide but misspelling Liam Hendriks' name is completely unacceptable.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Need to win both games before facing Cueto: that guy's stuff will F us up.
RickyWalks Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Need to win both games before facing Cueto: that guy's stuff will F us up. Isn't it Cueto vs. Dickey too? It's gonna be hilarious.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 We just need Hendriks to give us 6 IP, 2 ER. You don't need to score six runs a game to win. Let's go Jays!
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Latos is a stud, hopefully the Jays are up for the challenge tonight and the bats rise to the occasion.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Yup, Cueto will dominate this lineup. That's not saying anything bad about the Jays, Cueto dominates every lineup! I think Silvergun will quite enjoy this post.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I think Silvergun will quite enjoy this post. Cueto is a legitimate Cy Young favourite. It's not hard to imagine him giving the Blue Jays a hard time on Sunday. Are we not supposed to ever mention quality players that the Blue Jays face if they're on our fantasy teams? Madness.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 lolllllll 2nd in ERA- since start of 2011. Clearly saying Cueto is good is merely King having an alternate agenda. Gimme a break. http://i.imgur.com/WgkIYHj.png Do you think Cueto will start the allstar game for the NL? Uh-huh.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Isn't it Cueto vs. Dickey too? It's gonna be hilarious. Yup, but to be fair, Dickey was pretty decent against the O's the other day. The Reds offense hasn't really been red hot lately so, the Jays might capitalize on that.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Let's all remember that the Jays have already beat some of the best pitchers in the league this year. It will be tough, but not impossible.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Jays can beat Cueto. Can and will.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Alright, fresh series! Lets get those bats going!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Its BLUE JAYS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Does Buck even watch NL games? Cincy is far from a contender, and is weak compared to the Brewers, Cards and Dodgers.
