L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 yeah' date=' even in the first game vs. the cards, they won 3-1 but stranded a boatload of runners [b']and hit into that triple play.[/b] But they're too good to be held back for long. If I was facing them, I would just throw fastballs down the middle and curveballs in the dirt right now Because lining into a triple play is indicative of the at bat.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Well, Buck's right about the Twins SPs.. they don't walk anybody, but they need a good defense, as most of their pitchers are like Mark Buehrle, without the talent, with the exception of Hughes.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 But I thought the season was over?!!?!?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Tolleson walk and Francisco grand slam
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 But I thought the season was over?!!?!? It is over. I was just informed from a source within the baseball industry that Major League Baseball has decided to shorten the regular season to 67 games. The change is effective immediately.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 At least we didnt get shutout....need to figure out how to carry this over to tomorrow
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Jays 10 hits and only 2 runs Unclutch factor is huge.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 "75% of balls are going to be on the ground" did he just say that?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Who else loved once again what they saw from Stroman today?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Can you please shut the f*** up, imbecile!! What....u want to be shutout daily
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Can you please shut the f*** up, imbecile!! I'm just an imbecile. I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Who else loved once again what they saw from Stroman today? Didn't hate it. Didn't love it.
bzapple Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Who else loved once again what they saw from Stroman today? Not quite as overpowering as his first two starts but his fastball (and command of it) is really impressive.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Stroman had another good start...normally I would take 6 innings and 3 runs. Too bad our offense has been lacking
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm going to play Captain Hindsight here, if Gibby was going to use Cecil tonight, why didn't he bring Cecil in to face Morales in the 7th with the bags drunk and 1 away?!?! 3-0 game bro. Gibbons knew that 3 runs is enough to beat us.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I've been incredibly negative, but as long as we get the job done these next oh seven days, I'll be happy.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I've been incredibly negative, but as long as we get the job done these next oh seven days, I'll be happy. You better stay to your word! If they win the next seven, remember to stay positive even if they get shutout for the two after that.

Or even to start the inning. No reason for Korecky to make his first appearance in that situation. If Stroman had been lit up and you needed someone in the 3rd, 4th inning...fine, go with Korecky. Doesn't make sense in a three-run game with Cecil and others available.
Convo Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 One of the reasons we're losing is Juan and Edwin are no longer carrying this team on their bats.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 DO we cheer for the BoSox tonight or the Orioles?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Korecky sent back to Buffalo. OF Mastro to be recalled tomorrow.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 kind of feels like we've gone full circle with the team with the poor pitching and lack of production from the bottom of the order
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Orioles will send out Gausman, Jimenez, Norris and Tillman. Maybe they'll help our offense break its slump.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Yeah, it really didn't make any sense? Atleast I wasn't the only one baffled by that decision. Count me in as well. I said it earlier in the year. Gibbons hasn't been very good with his bullpen management, IMO. Anyway....beat the O's!
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Didn't catch the game but looking at the box score some positives even with the loss. Stroman did his job and the team got 10 hits just didn't string them together enough against the twins best pitcher. Looking to go into Baltimore and heat up again. Wonder if the back is still bothering Edwin. Win the next three series and all will be right.
