Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'd just like to see more consistency. They seem to live and die by the home run and when the other teams adjust to that, you're going to be prone to getting your ass beat on a regular basis. They have to make the adjustment in return and manufacture more runs when the home run isn't there to save them.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 What teams do you know get shut out 3 games of out 4 ? Rarely any Not quite shutout, but the A's scored a total of 5 runs over 3 games against us just a few weekends ago. Sometimes bats struggle even on good offenses.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 The pitching has been terrible, I don't think that's an overreaction. And you expected them to continue with the top 5 AL rotations with the guys they're running out?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Hughes is gong to carve this lineup up.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 f***in Ump that was awful
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Looks like Hughes will go 9 today.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 That was outside. Stroman hasn't got those calls so far.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Its funny how knee jerk some people are. If the Blue Jays lost 5 of 6 they would still be a very good team. When you win as many games as they did in May, your bound for regression. Some of the best teams in baseball go through cold streaks you know... I think it's funny that when people make some completely normal baseball observations, you get people running around screaming about knee jerk reactions.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Where the f***???? I hate this sport sometimes
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 That was an embarrassing third strike on Lind.
Convo Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Umps getting paid to kick us while we're down
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 They are trying something new. LOL Well it's not working very well!
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 There is such a bigger strike zone for left handed hitters than right its ridiculous. 5 inches off the plate are routinely called strikes
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 f*** i hate that loop in Lawrie's hands during the front part of his swing. He'll never be a successful MLB hitter unless he corrects it.
BJs Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 This is just a terribly frustrating series...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Fastball down the middle beats us everytime....other teams crush it
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I tried telling people after May to expect the Jays to play closer to .500 ball than .750 throughout the summer and not to worry that they'll still be a playoff contender. I was laughed at for possibly imagining them to be anything less than elite for the next 4 months...
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Fastball down the middle beats us everytime....other teams crush it Yeah this lineup never crushes fastballs..........

If you think this team is a play off contender now you are f***ing out to lunch ... we can barely beat the Twins
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 The worst pitching staff in baseball is owning us
bowld Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 where did our offense go? We cant hit for s*** all of a sudden
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Tolleson is useless, other than a few hits his first few games, he looks completely overmatched by just about everyone he faces.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 The high heat has to be laid off.
