Convo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Tolleson has quietly been really good, lol. Edit: My bad, jinxed him
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Tolleson has quietly been really good, lol. Agreed but spoke to soon he has surprised me though
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 so 3 leadoff hitters get on (3 sep innings), not one score... should I be worried? or are we just going to hope for more and more HRs to win
Jaysfan_85 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Lawl what ... advanced stats are meaningless when a guy strikes out more then he hits Oh wow you're being serious. I thought for sure you were being sarcastic. Most power hitters strike out a lot so who gives a s***. Its too early to tell about Gose but offensively if he were to have the same amount of at bats as Rasmus he would have less hits, less doubles, less Hrs, but because Rasmus has bigger swings and is more aggressive he will strike out more. But thats any easy trade off. If Gose was an elite OBP guy, who could steal 50 bases and play his D I would much rather have him than Rasmus. But he isn't. He simply isn't very good at much of anything offensively other than running fast. This is basically what happens with all exciting prospects. They come up and show flashes of brilliance and everyone loses their s***. Remember JPA. But once the new car smell wears off you'll be craving for the old reliable car.
Convo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Agreed but spoke to soon he has surprised me though It's funny that a 30 year old can come up and perform better than he ever has at any level.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Damn just missed it. Shut the door Casey.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Here comes Casey Rivera. 1-2-3...Jays win.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Tolleson has quietly been really good, lol. Edit: My bad, jinxed him I find Tolleson intriguing...he's not young, but he's never been given a real shot in the bigs. He's fast, a fairly good defender and has a career .779 OPS in the minors. You'd have thought he would have got more of a shot at some point in the past.
