Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Edwin is turning out to be another Bautista. A guy who had some potential, but never really showed it much. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere he hits 40 and then turns into an absolute beast. Amazing what confidence can do for you. As for the HBP thing, i find it strange that it's not reviewable because a manager can ask the HPU to ask the other umpires on the field, so why it wouldn't be reviewable by a crew with replay capability is beyond my comprehension.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Same with me one time i want to see him go at least 7 but no He did go 8 a few games back

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 How many games have our starters gone 8 innings this season? Even 7 innings
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Absolutely "Nice beaver" Priscilla Presley has a nice beaver for sure.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I'd just like him to go more than 6 innings, he should be capable of it. He's only gone more than 7 innings once. Devil's advocate - Gibby didn't HAVE to pull him there. He didn't get a chance to go 7 innings.
Unis Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 well he did throw 51 pitches through the first two innings and leave in the 6th with a mess for the pen to clean up. should he get a pat on the back for that effort? He did a well enough job. No need for haters, better than 10-0 the past two games

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Priscilla Presley has a nice beaver for sure. She was still really hot then. How many years after Elvis died?!?!?
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I'm guilty of being too hard on Dickey, but I guess it's because my expectations were so high of him. He threw two and three hitters with regularity in the NL and I think I've only seen one single start from him here like that in our uniform in two years. I had high expectations from him and going forward, when looking at playoff possibilities, I can't see depending on him as a starter at all in a playoff series. When i look at where that leaves us, it's pretty bleak.

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 He did a well enough job. No need for haters, better than 10-0 the past two games I agree with MJ.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Dickey is a NL pitcher plain and simple once people realize that you will be okay
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 You guys are f***ed...... he retires 11 in a row, gets f***ed by a terrible route from Bats and the Ump and you jump on him now? f*** this stupid f***ing GDT ********. Dickey was Dickey tonight....sucked...did some good...then s*** the bed and left the bases loaded for the bullpen ( seems like every start). He was inconsistent. It was a decent result but overall some bad pitching

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Devil's advocate - Gibby didn't HAVE to pull him there. He didn't get a chance to go 7 innings. Even if he let him stay in, he most likely doesn't make it to 7.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 well he did throw 51 pitches through the first two innings and left in the 6th with a mess for the pen to clean up. should he get a pat on the back for that effort? Yeah but in all fairness, Bautista has to back off on that ball and it's a single and the entire outlook of the inning changes from there. I mean, mif he still hits buddy and issues a walk then the outcome is the same but.....we'll never know
