G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Didn't realize there was a Yankees-Orioles double header today - game 1 starting momentarily What do we even want here? I want to see signs of weakness from the Orioles but I don't think I want the Yankees to gain a full game in the WC standings with 2 wins either

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Orioles sweep would be the only ideal scenario. It is for our wild card standings But I want to see signs of weakness from Baltimore Meh - whatever. I won't be watching the games. I'll just wait and see what happens.

So says the Yankees and Indians fans, who are also in the same boat as the Jays. At least the Indians still have a division title within reach (3.0/3.5 back of KC/DET, assuming the CLE win when they finish the KC/CLE game).

Hahaha I know what you mean I feel the same way don't worry. We're not the only ones. Screw the cold hearted analysts like BTS and Hurl. We want playoff baseball in Toronto. However it comes to us.

Screw the cold hearted analysts like BTS and Hurl. We want playoff baseball in Toronto. However it comes to us. I want the Jays to make the playoffs just as much as other bad front offices like Seattle and KC (who are interesting to me as it's known that Moore is a complete idiot but he's built a team, mostly through the draft, that derives a good amount of value from defense. It might just be luck, or maybe someone who gets it is in his ear but KC is one the few teams that are up there in the standings that I could see repeating their performance next year). Yes I'll hear it if the Jays make the playoffs (something I've said all year they should be going all out for) but that's never been my contention with this front office.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Holy crap 0-0 in the 10th
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 How about they have to play 28 innings of ball today and have to waste tomorrow's starters because the BP is used up?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Stirling just challenged the listeners to name a better defensive infield in the majors than today's Yankees starters (Tex, Drew, Ryan, Prado)

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 0-0 into the 11th.. what are they gonna do if this game goes 16-17 and goes right into the Jays game?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 At the rate this game is going, both teams will blow out their bullpens before the 2nd game of this double-header.. and with roster expansion, this game could go a while.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Chris Young again! 1-0 Yankees.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 and Chris Young hits a HR. Drew hits a double now. All with 2 out
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 BTW, as expected, Buehrle moved up to Sunday, Stroman to the O's series on Monday.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Chris Young again! 1-0 Yankees. Damn yankees
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 At the end of the day this doesn't change what the Jays have to do,
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 At the end of the day this doesn't change what the Jays have to do, Nope, you're right We need to beat both teams multiple times
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Paredes with a walk-off for the O's. Yanks playoff hopes take a major hit..
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Lols Orioles walk off
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Paredes with a walk-off for the O's. Yanks playoff hopes take a major hit.. major major blow
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Wow that's demoralizing Get ahead 1-0 in the top of the 11th only to lose it in the bottom of the inning
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Didn't the Jays do this like 3 times in that one game vs. Boston... Yes that Friday night game. Worst loss of the season IYAM.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Big blow to the Yankees. They go from perhaps their most improbable, thrilling win of the season last night, to getting walked off in extras with one out to go today.
