JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 our boy Hendriks in a jame...3-2 red sox, bases loaded, 1 out, top of 3rd I can't see that ending well for him.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 What sucks is that after the all star break we supposedly had the EASIEST schedule. Well, we played all the crappy teams early and didn't do very well. The second half of the season was back loaded with these division games against better opponents. We had a better chance to make a charge in early August. Oh well, I'm just excited that they're doing something exciting now. Keep it up. If they don't make it then they'll have to kick themselves for not beating the losing teams when they should have. Then again it would be odd if they made it, losing to the bad teams but finding a way to beat the good ones.
shortstop Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 JB jr. grounds out into a double play...of course
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 JB jr. grounds out into a double play...of course Ugh. As long as the BoSox keep the lead and win...Wow...I feel dirty saying that.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Cobb's no-no is over.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Sox winning 4-2 now
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Holy f***. I forgot about the KC/Boston game. Why the hell was i watching the football game. CH 462 (sox game) for the sports pack pple. Honestly, i don't care about the Yankees game. We're going to need to dominate them (and thus eliminate them to have a chance). Never thought i would say this, but LET'S GO RED SOX.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 It does feel dirty rooting for the BoSox even though it's for our own gain. Oh well, I can get over it with a playoff berth.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 So the jays won't get Cobb Facing some rookie tomorrow followed by Hellickson the next day
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Yankees have runners on 2nd/3rd with 0 out in the 9th. Down 4-2. Come on, McGee.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Walk off homer for the Yanks again. Lay down for us this weekend too, while you're at it.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 f***ing Yankees! f***ing Rays! I hope the Rays blow it as bad as they did in NY as they do when they play the Jays.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Are they moving Stroman back. Have they decided this yet? f*** we need that Tampa series and at least 2 of 3 from Baltimore. Happ, Dickey, Buehrle. Stroman being pushed back for rest. And BTW, it's vs. Nate Karns (very winnable), Jeremy Hellickson, and Chris Archer.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Who cares. Let's go Red Sox.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 So the Yankees go from trailing 4-0 in the 8th being no hit to walking it off in the ninth. Makes sense.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 anddd f*** you yanks Calm down. The O's will give them a hard time this weekend.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Yankees have four against the Orioles this weekend. Hope the O's beat them up before cooling down for the Jays (crosses fingers).
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Red Sox up 6-3 in the 9th. We already saw the Rays blow a 9th inning lead so nothing is safe, but should the Sox hold on, then the Jays are 3.5 back of both Detroit and KC for the 2nd WC and 4.5 back of Oakland for the 1st WC. Indians and Yankees are right there with the Jays.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 So, uh yeah, Chris f***ing Young.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Well I bet MLB is loving this. 6 teams within 5 GB of both wildcards
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Fking Yankees, GTFO already. Hopefully Tampa rolls over now and gives us 3 DUBYAS!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 They just hope they can screw that Canadian team if possible. Not sure why. If the Blue Jays make the playoffs they will get a lot more new fans than if the Tigers or As make it
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I guess we and seattle have the toughest schedules remaining, but those teams that are already out of it,play loose against the contenders,so anything can happen. Seattle. Those games against LAA will be tough. sep 12-14 v oak sep 15-18 a LAA sep 19-21 a hou sep 22-25 a Tor sep 26-28 v Laa

BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Not sure why. If the Blue Jays make the playoffs they will get a lot more new fans than if the Tigers or As make it Yes, but those fans will be Canadian fans who don't count for U.S. ratings.

They pretty much have the division wrapped up now. Playing for pride isnt the same as playing for your playoff life.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Rays officially eliminated from postseason contention Sweet but unfortunately Maddon won't let them roll over against us.
