I would be picking the two young guys I think have the most secure jobs for 2024

Harrison, Bradley, Lodolo, Cabrera all have sky high ceilings but each has a playing time question mark for 2024 or in Cabrera's case some gas can risk

I feel like Lodolo has the best projections but Harrison might have the most secure rotation spot right now? Maybe those two?

Some concern SFG might not let Harrison pitch like a normal SP.

Wouldn't keep an injured arm like Rasmussen over any of these kids

Thanks. I appreciate the help.

Out of all the Marlin's SPs, Cabrera is the most likely to get moved. If a team pays the high price to trade for him, they will pitch him.

Out of all the pitchers you listed, Cabrera also has the best chance to get traded in general.

Marlins Park is a pitcher friendly stadium. Cincinnati is a band box. SF is a good pitcher's park...

Judge for No.1 pick, Langford?

If you're in win-now mode, I would. If Judge plays a majority of the season, he's a huge difference maker for your squad.

Traded Judge for Langford

I have a dilemma..... I have Chourio and will have Langford in the minors. I need one of them for the bench. Which one should I pick?

Probably wait until ST to unfold and that decision will be made for you.

Chourio, the fact he has signed a contract already makes it almost guarantied he makes the opening day roster.

DL Hall or Dustin May?

D May for me.

Hall in the rotation sounds copium ngl.

How would you rank Lodolo, Kyle Harrison, and Edward Cabrera?

None of them unless you’re in a deep ass league like LOD. They’re all kinda flawed, and I used to own Ed Cabrera.

Langford will have more impact immediately. I still find it hard to gauge Jackson Chourio, he’ll give you speed for sure but there’s such a wide outcome to his power potential.

How do you fellas feel about Oneil Cruz these days. I've been holding on to him forever in a 14 team dynasty. But I'm flush at SS with both Bo and Mookie Betts in the fold.

Seems like in a 14 teamer he's probably not going to be as good as I was hoping. I could trade him for SP which I need though it's a pitching heavy league so the return is going to be some sort of Top 40 SP.

I'm kind of inclined to just hang on to him and see if he explodes. Or is now the time to sell?

EDIT: I was just offered Freddy Peralta for him.

I don’t see it likely Cruz would replace Betts and Bichette for you, hope you get a good SP for him.

Cruz just landed Gilbert, Stott and Lux in one of my leagues, interesting trade as both guys are 2nd base prospects.

Drew Gilbert?

That's kind of a weird package for Cruz. Lux blows and Stott is fringe

Yup. It's a lot, but he can flip a bird at 2nd thought, right?

I don't know what you mean

Lux will be 2B/SS soon, Dodgers say he is their shortstop as of now

I was just offered Ohtani and Riley Greene for Mookie Betts and Oneil Cruz.

What do you guys think? Also, it's a salary cap league and Ohtani costs a little bit more salary than Betts, if that makes any difference.

I'd probably do it. Even if Ohtani never pitches again, he's two years younger and has louder tools...

Ohtani has 40/20 projections basically and Mookie is more of a 30/10 guy, and his wall scraper % is probably decently high.

Greene is sneaky good now and has better wRC+ projections than Cruz and is obviously safer... of course Cruz has massive upside but you know.

It seems they really smack down Lux for missing a season, projection wise. I’m sure 2023 projections were better going in, considering his numbers in the minors and progression in majors.

Ok I did it. I got him to throw in some money to cover the salary discrepancies and he got a couple of pick upgrades.

Ultimately I agree with you on Ohtani. His offensive production seems like a really safe bet moving forward. I could see Betts's power output slowing down soon given his small stature and his age.

Greene vs. Cruz seems like a wash. Cruz has bigger potential but I already have Bo it made sense.

Ok I have 4 OFers and I need to trade one for a SP. Obviously some are worth more than others. But who do you think would be a good one to sell on compared to their perceived value?

Riley Greene

Nolan Jones

Lane Thomas

Estuery Ruiz

Greene I just got. Some prospect whore would probably back the truck up.

Jones I get a lot of bites on since I'm in a Denver-based league. Might be able to squeeze a little extra juice than normal out of trading him.

I have shopped Lane Thomas around and no one wants him. I actually think he kind of sucks in real life but in fantasy he seems like he plays up as a stat accumulator who hits at the top of the lineup for 160 games. So I'm fine keeping him.

Ruiz is interesting. I need steals and he kind of single-handedly fixes that. But is there any hope for his bat to improve? Steamer thinks he'll be better but his Statcast page is UGLY.

Jones is the obvious choice based on that narrative.

Thomas and Ruiz are worth close to nothing. Both could lose their jobs and be bench players in MLB at any moment.

I dunno though, for the same reason I wouldn't want to really keep them. I would probably keep Greene and Jones, then just dump Ruiz or Thomas for any arm above replacement level or a draft pick
