connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Funny you wouldn't deal him+ got Kelenic RIP Kelenic is cooling off. I got him in BORED and so part of me wants to cut off my nose to spite my face
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Kelenic is cooling off. I got him in BORED and so part of me wants to cut off my nose to spite my face You traded Zac Gallen to me for Buxton. Thank you, thank you!!
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 You traded Zac Gallen to me for Buxton. Thank you, thank you!! I’m not Nostradamus. I definitely thought Buxton would bust out when healthy. Just like early in his career, he has the flashes but the larger sample size is underwhelming
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 You traded Zac Gallen to me for Buxton. Thank you, thank you!! Also, are you sure? I don’t recall having Gallen. I guess as a prospect?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 I thought I traded Berrios for Buxton. Wouldn’t be beyond liberal Jim to peddle false information
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 I thought I traded Berrios for Buxton. Wouldn’t be beyond liberal Jim to peddle false information Ah it was Danger. I always get you two mixed up.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Ah it was Danger. I always get you two mixed up. Douche. Yeah, I remember that’s why I had sympathy for the guy that got railed on a couple years back for noting Berrios inconsistencies. These aren’t FIP and WAR leagues, so he wasn’t fun to own
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 You traded Zac Gallen to me for Buxton. Thank you, thank you!! It’s the second week of May.. Don’t prematurely shoot your load like normal.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 It’s the second week of May.. Don’t prematurely shoot your load like normal. And with all the s*** talking the Dude still has 8hrs, 19 RBIs and a near .800 OPS..
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Yelich quietly Top 50 Yahoo I’m in… Nootbar or Yelich is the better play going forward? Or it depends on matchup

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 depends on league stats and team needs yelich probably does better in every counting stat but noot better in ratios although noot has the talent to get hot and out homer yelich
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I would go with Noot especially if its an OBP league. Younger and will put up far better ratios. Only drastic difference I see is Yelich probably will get more RBI opportunities.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Yelich has 9 SB's thus far and Noot has 5. But yeah in standard 5x5 leagues and if Noot's BA regresses to .250-260ish, Yelich is better.

But yeah in standard 5x5 leagues and if Noot's BA regresses to .250-260ish, Yelich is better. Just look at projections. For 5x5 ROS in a 12 team league, based on FGDC, Yelich will be worth $12 and Nootbaar will be worth $1. Year to Date Yelich has been worth $7 and Nootbaar has been worth $1. So there is really no sensible reason to think they are even close in a 5x5 league. Actually, even if you delete AVG and insert both OBP and wOBA Yelich has the edge in both YTD and ROS. But they are closer.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 steals in a 5x5 yelich is probably better 7x7 OBP League.
